I don’t think he needs it, because he may actually be the only democrat with a spine.
If the dems truly believe everything they say they stand for, and believed that Trump was the end of democracy as we know it, then it is blatantly unacceptable that they sat there with paddles during the state of the union. Sadly, the party is rotten to the core with 10 dems even voting to censure Green.
Ironically, when MTG stood up to Biden during a SOTU, she was not censured. I suspect that every republican would have come together to oppose such a vote. The democratic party is a corrupt and rotten shell of a party that doesn’t even stand with their own.
I certainly don’t agree with his policies but I have a begrudging amount of respect for Green for standing up for what he believes in rather than going with the rest of the ineffectual dems.
State of the Union Address is not a tradition, it's not mutually agreed debate format, it's not a media circus. There is Constitutional duty of U.S. president to give these yearly addresses. Member of the government trying to disrupt Constitutional process can be viewed as insurrection.
