It's all a coordinated effort. These people are all in the same club espousing the same philosophy.

It's leading to the great reset/transformation. You will own nothing and be happy.


What do you think is going to happen in the future when our economy is in the crapper and peoples houses are being foreclosed on, and they can't put food on the table for their families.

Enter, the government here to help you..

They will construct "sustainable, equitable and just" housing projects for those in need. (meaning regular every day Americans today who will be on hard times in the future due to changing economic conditions).

But see here's the thing... To get this free housing and free meals from the .gov you're going to need to "be in compliance" with their mandates inside their property. It's just, and equitable and sustainable after all. You're just going to have to give up your privacy, guns, take whatever medication they tell you to etc... but you have failed as a private citizen trying to take care of your family so you weigh your options and want your family to be warm, sheltered and have full bellies.

Think about it. You buy a house in a single family house area. Now the state changes it. The developers are going to make flop houses around you. Overnight the neighborhood changes.
Remember how investment banking firms like Blackrock were buying up single family homes increasing the prices of starter homes? Could that be a reason for this big push by the state?

I completely get the root of the opposition to this, as you describe. No one wants to live next to a group home, or the projects, or any of the other "affordable housing" "solutions." That said, the opposition to a reduction in regulation just strikes me as inconsistent with conservative principles regarding property rights, or even in general.

Heh... I figured someone would bring that up. It is, unfortunately, quite common for gun laws, or laws in general, to allow local rule for municipalities of certain sizes. IIRC, in NY, the law carves out out the five boroughs of NYC as well as Westchester County. In PA, instead of specifying locales exempt from some state preemption, they specify "cities of the first class" which means cities with populations > 1m.

That said, the fact that state preemption of gun laws in NY is not absolute doesn't mean state preemption is a bad thing. We wouldn't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

This is a weird one. Think about it for a second: the state is trying to reduce the amount of regulation and everyone here is in opposition.

What is being said in this thread is "NO! I want my local government to be able to limit what I can build on my property!"

Though that's not quite the case. I don't think anyone here wants to be limited on what they can build on their property. We just want our neighbors to be limited on what they can build on theirs.

This is what they want you to think. You see, the people coming up with these laws can be broken down into two camps. Developers who will profit and people that are bigoted white liberals who have never set foot inside of the hood that they created and now want to spread around thinking that will make black people like them.
