I shot my buddy's. I don't remember exactly what tripped me up, but the manual of arms was weird to me, though it made sense when my friend walked me through the controls instead of "here ya go, you'll figure it out". That said, It's a heavy SOB, but small. Recoil is as light as I've ever felt shooting 12 ga slugs. If you want it for home defense, I definitely recommend some serious practice with it. If you want it just for fun, it's definitely got that covered as long as you can afford to feed it.
That thing is just a pair of 870 clones sat in a big, clunk, ugly, heavy chassis. The company that manufacturers it is a garbage company with poor production and QC and even worse customer service. As in nonexistent customer service. As in if you have a problem with their product, due to their shit manufacturing methods and absent QC, they will not respond to any of your attempts at communication.
The DP12 is a nonsensical, highly impractical toy meant to appeal to the same kind of person easily distracted by shiny objects.
Please do not purchase a DP12.

Well I appreciate the comments. Of course I did just the opposite and put one on hold today. I have a number of quality shotguns including Mossberg, Beretta and Browning. This one is going to be a range toy.

I personally use a Mossberg 500 in a bullpup configuration. I figured op was searching for a higher cap version.
@Tinman This is my Mossberg in the kit. Not the prettiest bullpup, but Mossberg reliability in a much smaller package.

I also have a Mossberg 500 A1 with a collapsible stock and a bayonet lug. It is a great shotgun.
