Ahhh this reminds of that one time I was selling a boat on Craigslist. This guy calls me and was adament about coming to see it and insisted that I did not need to be there. I told him I will not let him come see it without me there. Anyway, he came and was asking oddball questions and started taking pics of the boat. I told him I was gonna call the cops for tresspassing and he got all defensive with me. Turns out he was some investigator from a Sherriffs office a few counties away and that he was investigating a stolen boat identical to mine. I told him next time just ask for a copy of the registration before wasting my time. Guess it goes to show people do actually sell stolen stuff, even stuff that ties to a registration apparently.
