SI Really does do a lot of out the box thinking and designs and also at a great price, but in the end a I'd say about 50% just happens to be kinda gimmiky.
Such as their glock comp that doesn't need a threaded barrel meh for about $70 great concept for people like us in NY who can't have a threaded barrel (but a compensator is aokay) but in the end the only real thing it does to help is added weight
