Without reading the entire thread, I apologize if this point has already been made, but have all these women screaming for the ability to have one (or multiple) abortions considered stopping men from blowing loads in their snatches so they don't need an abortion in the first place? My medical degree expired 6 years ago but am I missing something? You can't tell me condoms are inaccessible in today's society.

In the faith that I follow, there is next to nothing about this subject, bits and pieces only.
Unlike other religions (such as Christianity), there is nothing that specifically prohibits abortion within my religious worldview.
I lean towards Pro life. I am not pure Pro life when it comes to this issue. So, to me, this is not a religious issue.
I actually enjoy reading the opinions on this topic that are not religious based. I do not have an issue if someone is Pro Life or Pro Abortion, I do take issue with people saying it is wrong because of their religious teachings and that all should respect their religious beliefs.
We in these Once United States are not a nation of only one religion and one set of religious ideals.

So do I. And thank you for your answer. It made me think about a few things...
Not the least of which is "I don't have any skin in the game, so why should I care"? (the likelihood of me getting a woman pregnant is very very low.)
I was becoming upset about the restrictions being put in place in some Red States. 15 weeks = no abortion.
But then I thought about my "compromise".
1st trimester = anything goes.
That's 12 weeks where a woman can decide if she wants to keep it or not. No restrictions. Her choice if she wants to risk future reproduction chances on a whim now. Three whole months. Don't you think someone should be able to make that decision in that long of a time?
That's three less weeks than the Republicans have been pushing.

I think it boiled down to their reasoning for pushing it. They have never demonstrated a respect for life, or at least not once it is out of the womb. Their whole purpose appears to be to push their religion. And that is the part I have a problem with.
After the first trimester there would be more restrictions, but with exceptions for (yes, minimal but not zero chance) birth defects or the woman's life/health, as diagnosed by at least two doctors.
And there sure as hell wouldn't be any once the foetus is viable outside the womb.
And if they really want post-partem abortion...they need to realize that 50 years old is still "post-partem". They essentially put themselves on the target for "retroactive abortion"

I agree with you because even though I’m a believer my teachings say I shouldn’t hold non-Christian’s to Christian views.
I do not support abortion because of religious views, but I’m not an absolutist either especially when it comes to rape, incest, or the mothers safety. I’m also against abortion on a pure moral level and I feel most abortions are just pure convenience and I just don’t want a kid today or it’s not the right time. I feel there are reliable methods of birth control and I have no problem with my tax dollars going to supply contraceptive that’s reliable for free.
#4 is how I try to live my life. Of course I fail at it and do judge people, but I feel I do that with common sense and a moral code not by religious standards and maybe that doesn’t make sense or I just my way to justify it, but I feel there is a difference.

Both issues are rooted in racism which was bought and paid for by democrats who had the most to fear from freed slaves.
The issue then evolved into making women be like toxic men when it came to sex.
We are also not the first civilization to sacrifice babies.
God the Bible and religious arguments are distractions and have been replaced with superheroes and comic books for many today. Many people that condemn or are quick to dismiss the Bible know more about Batman and Robin than the Bible.
There once was a man who also had major issues with organized religion.
So much so that the religious leaders hung him on a cross and killed him after beating him without mercy. That man changed the world more than Batman could ever do.
I'm taking religion completely 100% out of my argument and opinion for being pro life. (I'm not a pro life purist per say, I'm only 99% pro life, I understand there are extreme circumstances where there was rape or mother's life in danger and those should be exceptions). To be pro life you have to be 100% for it all the time no matter what.
It's completely abhorrent and disgusting to think it's acceptable to kill an unborn child with it's own unique DNA, heartbeat and characteristics because the mother doesn't think it's such a great idea anymore. I believe all life deserves to have their rights protected and the opportunity to pursue happiness. Unborn children don't have any advocates championing their rights.
If you've never read up on abortions and what is involved in the "procedure/infantacide" take the time to learn what happens.
I never gave it much thought until I had my first born and going through that gave me a new perspective on pregnancy, the value of life and shaped my opinions on abortion.
When my wife and I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks it was devastating. It confirmed to me that my opinion is justified.
Birth control in many forms and options is widely and universally available. There are permanent solutions too. I'm done having kids I got a vasectomy (smartest decision I've ever made too).
I made an argument and didn't once talk about a single religious aspect.
