Capitalism means the government is owned by corporations. It's a more efficient system, but lets not pretend it's not problematic.

We have done a lot worse in our history than criminalize communism. I'm not going to go over all of it, but suffice to say that the House Unamerican Activities Committee is not something we should revisit, but it also is far from the worst thing we have done.
Today, communism is far from criminalised. It isn't even ridiculed enough. It should be looked on with the same level of distain as the flat earthers.

There are questions about association with communist party on government job applications that will preclude job applicant from being accepted, just like having a criminal record. This didn't change. I am talking about the substance and facts, not idiotic partisan labeling.

I think many people should read up a bit on the different types of Governmental ruling systems. I think there are many people that believe the hype of different ruling forms; the propaganda is huge. Take away some of the nasty labels and dig deep and many will find some of these are not as bad as you think. Take Socialism for a moment; we have many, many forms of Socialism here in the US, too many people see it as a bad word. Without a bit of it here, we would not be where we are today. Schools, hospitals, any many other Social programs.
What this woman is calling for is absolutely NOT what I want. Again, she can piss right off.
I do not want Communism. I understand this form of government. I do not want Socialism; I understand the inner workings of this system as well.
I am not 100% happy with the way we do things in the US, but it the system that has been working well for quite some time. I do not want to change things. Maybe, we could clean up what we do and how we do it.

Capitalism and Communism are the extremes, everything in between are various degrees of socialism.
They are also economic systems, not political ones. You could have an absolute monarch running a very capitalist system, or a real democracy that votes itself a communist one.
We have never been pure capitalist, and due to the existence of criminal black markets nobody has ever been pure communist either.
The best way to measure a country IMHO is to look at what % of the GDP is controlled by the government. Pure capitalism is unrealistic, but we have way too much socialism here now. I would say we need to get back under 10%.
There has only ever been one way to properly deal with communists and that is to shoot them.
Just a reminder for those who are not partisan zombies and still can think rationally. Our problem is not some loopy woman holding obscure political office and expressing childish political views, our problem is conservative justices on the SCOTUS who are not doing anything to uphold what they told us they believe. When will the people wise up to this shell game.
