I mean the current world record shot with iron sights is 2,240 yards and was done with a standard K31
I wish the supply of GP11 was more regular, I would like to get a K31 again. That rifle would be great for our iron sight matches.
Fun little factoid: did you know that the 7.5x55 Swiss case has the same powder capacity as the 30-06 case? It was set at a 45,000 PSI pressure ceiling however. Still quite a powerful round though.

I love my K31, dropped a deer at about 70 yards, hear shot but it was a bag of rocks. And I have exactly 2 boxes of GP11 that I got for a hell of a cheap price but have yet to run across any more.
Hell most dudes that shoot K31s in competition never reloaded for it because the GP11 would shoot better for them
Imagine if all or more types of surplus ammo had the same reputation as that stuff
What do you use for hunting ammo? Is there much availability of 7.5 Swiss hunting ammo?
More so than I would have expected.
I know prvi makes a soft point and I have been using Hornady (it's the box with the old guy on it)
Ok I guess "more" isnt the right way to put it, cause those are the only ones I know of. But I got the hornady locally.
Ah, you don't need anything other than Hornady. They make the best ammo.
And the price has dropped significantly. When I got my box of ammo oh god 4 years ago or so, whenever I shot my first deer lol it was about $40+ for the box.
Now it's going for like 23 or 25

Love my Czek made 1920's Mauser, fit, finish, and craftsmanship is something rarely found today, accurate in the extreme. All original.

I have the K11 as well just missing the magazine and I actually like that gun more than the 31

Same guy took a finish mosin out to 1000 yards with irons, and a k98 sniper out to 1,100 with a 2.5 power scope.
