I don’t see why someone like Surefire or Streamlight couldn’t fit a system into something that resembles a shottube extension. The trick would be activating it.What I’d be interested in is a light that replaces the magazine tube takedown screw.

It's a shotgun. Effective range of about 25 yards.300 lumens? A little behind the curve with what’s out there. The strobe feature is useless. CR123s or Streamlight’s rechargeable stick batteries or a charging port built right into the light would be the way to go. Oh and I know someone will chime in and say “too many lumens will blind you”, having more than 300 lumens won’t “blind” you.
It is but my Streamlight micro USB is the size of my pinky finger and it pumps out 250 lumens. The more lumens the better. With hand held lights and weapon lights pumping out between 600-1500 lumens, 300 lumens seems substandard. It's a shotgun. Effective range of about 25 yard lumens is enough to illuminate a room.
I myself prefer small single cell lights. A weapon light being something that will spend the vast majority of it's time unused I prefer them to be as light and unobtrusive as possible. It is but my Streamlight micro USB is the size of my pinky finger and it pumps out 250 lumens. I hear you. The only thing that this fore end can have going for it in my opinion is price point. I’m not saying I’m a snob but I won’t go with anything but Surefire or Streamlight. But if this lets somebody on a very limited budget make their shotgun a more viable option to protect their family it can be a win. 300 lumens is better than nothing if that’s what you can afford in this type of set up. The price point of decent lithium ion AA’s can also help with the price point. Most single cell lights are in the 300 lumen range and that is enough. 500 lumen single cell lights are coming on the market though, and as versions come about that meet my preferred method of attachment I will probably upgrade.

Equipment Review: The Steiner Mk7 Battle Light – A Good Idea with a Few Problems…
Even the highend lights are mostly 300 lumens for the smaller ones. I have an Elzetta and a custom Surefire pattern light using an Arisaka body and tail cap with a Malkoff devices head. I’m saying that now a days 300 lumens for any company seems a little low. Two cells aren’t much bigger than single cells. Just my opinion. I want as many lumens as possible.Even the highend lights are mostly 300 lumens for the smaller ones. I have a 1000 lumen Streamlight HL-X on my Galil. Its brighter sure but in a typical room it doesn't show me anything I can't see with my smaller lights and they still illuminate the entire room. How are you supposed to activate it way out there?

Well I was curious. Other than that flaw I like the idea. Probably not the best thing for full length tubes.I didn’t make the fucking thing lol!
