Call the NYS Tax and Finance, they will tell you that you shouldn't have to pay tax unless they have a brick and motor business in NY. It's up to each individual to report all internet transactions at tax time.

Generically, in light of the 5–4 Supreme Court decision (unusual because Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg sided with 4 conservative judges, while Chief Justice John Roberts sided with 3 liberal judges), FUAC issued a formal royal proclaimation (with no legislative approval) "sales tax must be collected by any out-of-state company with no physical presence in NY, so long as the business generated more than $300,000 in sales delivered to New York addresses during the previous 12 months and had more than 100 individual transactions." FUAC proclaimed it was his royal birthright to do so and legislative approval wasn't necessary because the Supreme Court had made dormant provisions of state tax law "immediately effective."
Specific to TSUSA, there is rumour around New Haven County that an FUAC minion (who visits unnamed forums used by NYers who do fully endorse FUAC's policies) suggested a process of demanding previous NY customer sales to harvest sweet old money revenue directly from the resistance. It seems that a small potatoes TSUSA became a priority and pressures from the west leveraged recent compliance to the neighboring king's proclaimation. There is wisdom in Fight Club rule #1.

It would be hilarious if an unintended consequence of FUAC's proclaimation opened up the NY market and on-line ammo prices fell more than than the sales tax rates.
You cannot tax illegal goods or services. By accepting tax money they are in fact saying shipping ammo to NY is legal.
You are supposed to declare internet purchases and pay sales tax on those items. Purchasers never do, so they have shifted the burden to retailers. Thank Amazon and Walmart along with the other few who voluntarily complied and tilted to scales!
Want to avoid tax, you'll have to travel and purchase (cash). And even then, technically you're still supposed to paysales tax back here. Anyone remember Cuomo Sr., sending tax goons to NJ Malls recording Lic. Plates on vehicles parked in Mall lots?
A clear sign NY is getting close to its death throes and the desperation stinks like a rotting corpse!

You only needed to specifically report items purchase don the Internet if over a certain dollar amount. You also had the option of paying sales taxes for lessor Internet sales by way of your tax return. I pay my sales taxes, on items I buy from out of state vendors via the Internet, virtually every year by way of my income tax returns and answering yes to whether or not I wanted to have them taken out of my return. It was rare I ever checked no. There is a box to check off either that you want to pay sales tax of not. When you check yes, the amount withheld is based on your income, it is pretty minimal but is nonetheless repugnant. As for the SC decision that says out of state vendors now need to collect tax - well that sucks but that includes all of them within certain limits.

I wonder, can we cease paying NY state taxes since we have no representation here. After all, was it not Cuomo who essentially said conservatives have no place in NY. He obviously believes that and obviously does not represent us.
