I dont recall what the other party claimed but to be nice, that other party are scumbags of the neighborhood. They'd fit right in with the depths of criminals in NYC.
He comes from a good hard working family and owns his own small construction business, his dad who was there is retired from state DOT, his mom a college professor who is now on hospice care and not likely to live much longer. And the scumbags yell over they hope she dies. Nice people.
That other party is constantly causing problems with the whole neighborhood, trespassing and stealing included.

What was he accused of? Did the other side produce witnesses ( truthful or not ) to the incident .
Without knowing what was said and by whom, you can not blame the police for arresting him.
Think about it. The two guys threaten him, he picks up a tire iron and threatens one of them with it in self defense. The police show up. The two guys deny threatening him and the old woman across the street says she saw him threaten one of them with a tire iron but didn’t hear the initial conversation. See how he objectively looks like the bad guy. The police might be right to arrest him with the information they had .

Not once did I blame the police for arresting him. I get it, they act on what they are told. The witness was his father, the other party was talking out his ass. I've been there, got arrested for assault years ago, which was a false claim. I went to press charges after a couple hours after an altercation and the other party called the police before I went to the substation. Day of court they dropped the charges because I had a witness.
My bitch is NYSP taking possession of his gun after the fact for non violent charges. I have no doubt he'll make out fine in court. I've known him personally for a long time, he isn't a violent person.
I dont have a problem with police in general but there's very very few NYSP officers that I would ever trust to be good LEOs.

Already mentioned I don't recall what they were exactly, probably know more later this week. I was riding out to Morris when I was told so was also paying attention to the road and head on a swivel for deer, so specifics now escape me.

I was told what charges, but as I said, I don't remember specifics because I had my mind on the road and critters.
Also as mentioned, NYSP had no issue with him carrying as they took possession of his handgun while being detained. Then immediately gave it back to him after allowing him to leave the barracks 20 minutes after they brought him in to charge him.

My problem with this is when, or if this goes back to SCOTUS, what more than stern words can SCOTUS really do when without doubt the state continues as usual? Can SCOTUS send in federal agents with arrest warrants to take each and every one if them involved into custody? Will they have the balls to use those powers, if they have them? Honestly, I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about it.
To be brutally honest; no. IF and WHEN it gets back to scotus, there will be more finger waggling and the cunt in albany will give a double middle finger and continue to do as she pleases with ZERO penalty. That is unfortunately the reality we live in. She already knows they can't do shit about it. The law is whatever her and her sycophants decide it is. NY is a rogue state. Now other states see what toothless dogs scotus is. It means nothing. And it will keep getting worse. Fuck ny.

Correct, scotus can do little except say the law is unconstitutional and side with us. They have zero enforcement powers and no one will help us if hochul sticks to her guns and demands police enforce this. Yes you will have a few good men that will not bother but you’ll be charged with other BS crimes if not the felony promised.

They can issue a specific unambiguous order. If an official violates that they would be held in contempt, and that contempt charge would not need to wait for another case to work it's way up.
They could issue any number of sanctions against the offending officials, including arrest. Those would be enforced by federal enforcement.
SCOTUS has their own marshals if necessary (but that would not be the normal order of business).
An attempt by state officials to impede the federal enforcement would be truly a sign that the end of the republic it at hand.
I agree with you 100% but few people can afford to be arrested and pay the crippling legal fees trying to defend yourself from this bullshit and be thrown in prison as a result. All the time yelling "Shall not be infringed!" (which the government has been doing since the NFA was made law in 1934) while the Cunt in Albany and aunt Tish laugh and say "So?".
This is completely asinine.
At some point these politicians and activist judges need a procedural smackdown for deliberately trying to circumvent the constitution and previous SCOTUS rulings.
This is complete madness to constantly have these stays. There needs to be a mechanism where they can be personally held to account for their actions and not have this blanket immunity due to their job titles. This is utter rubbish.
This needs to get to SCOTUS already and they need to issue a very strong ruling in our favor.

It is the duty of the executive branch to enforce Supreme Court rulings including by force if necessary (as Eisenhower did). If a president fails to honor his oath and obligation to uphold the Constitution, it is grounds to initiate the impeachment process. Justice may wait (Biden ain't doing shit) until a real President is elected and sworn in to office.
Similarly Congress could withhold funding to a rogue State, but with the Democrats controlling the Senate (for simple majority reconciliation budget bills) and with a likely Biden veto that ain't gonna happen .... in spite of the Constitution, even fake elections have consequences.

I would like to read this document that GOA has reportedly filed, but I cannot find a copy of it online anywhere. Does anyone here have access to it, and can post it, or at least a link to it?

Interesting. They will remand it back down to the lower courts and I’ll bet the lower courts find it moot. Doesn’t matter since you can have a pistol permit as a cop.
