As long as they leave the interior missions to those with a more clear cut jurisdiction (provided they can handle it) and keep their rifles trained in the right direction, I'm good with it.

I think the border with Mexico should be secured the same way the border with Area 51 is secured.
But, *inside* the US ?
Pisses me off every time I have to drive through a border checkpoint to go to Tucson.
There usually isn't much of a delay, and the guys are always very polite, typically they wave us through before we even come to a complete stop. But the very idea of "internal checkpoints" really pisses me off.
