President Trump withdrew his nomination of Dr. Janette Nesheiwat to serve as U.S. Surgeon General and announced that Dr. Casey Means will be his new pick for the position.

I consider this good news, as I consider Dr. Nesheiwat a Dr. Fauci covidian and she is still an advocate for the not-so-safe (IMO) and not-so-effective (IMO) covid so-called vaccine.

I don't yet know very much about Dr. Casey. I'll just leave this here...

Fair point but if they are being rounded up and removed would some of them take the $1,000? I’m guessing not many will because going back home isn’t a viable option or they would not have worked so hard to get here in the first place.

Back as far as the 80s my dad knew of people who came here to work on Monday and then turned themselves in for deporation for the free ride home on Friday to spend the weekend with their family.

That was back when most illegals were *from* Mexico. I imagine that doesn't work when you get sent farther.

I’m optimistic about this, I truly am but we will see if our trade stays the same or if USA to UK increases or decreases. I just don’t trust the UK nor do I like them. They seem to always want our money and our help but want to undermine us at the same time. Dirty Brits!! I don’t trust them and they are still in right with Canada who wants to keep screwing us. I hope the UK’s USA need is greater than their despise of us.

The tariffs won't necessarily be permanent though. Its a tool to bring other countries to bargaining table, and also encourage more manufacturing here. Short term pain for long term gain.

I liken it to cancer and chemo therapy. The chemo makes you feel way worse for a while, but in the end you come out better than ever.
