There is also a larger issue at hand as well. Stunts like this can sway the moderate conservatives or moderate democrats who closet voted for Trump to go the other direction in 2026 and can cost us the House.

I don't see him as a micromanager.
He's had far too much going on for far too long not to let his people make their own decisions.
He's got an ego the size of Texas and I'm sure he thinks he knows best, but there's just too many high level decisions going on every day for him to involve himself in all of them like that.

That's a fair point. It is hypocritical to say this guy is too young meanwhile Hogg is like, what 21-23 years old and they were OK with him.
It's more about if they agree with the person or not. Which I understand, in politics you try to push for the policies you think are correct, and if someone has influence in the direction you like, they get support. Both parties do this and have a lot of hypocrisy built in. Doesn't mean you shouldn't call it out or that you are wrong in calling it out.

Not really. They have to do things but sometimes things go too far or aren’t popular. This hurts your plans in the long run. If what he’s doing is good, and I believe most of it is then don’t we want him to stay popular and stay in office? If what’s he’s doing is good and pisses off tons of people so he or the party gets voted out and the democrats return things to the way they were then what did we accomplish?

I agree but if it’s not popular then that person and those people will be voted out so that thing no longer happens or exists. I get what you’re saying and I fully understand and support it but there is a line. Trump knows this to most degrees and is walking it in most places. Some places heading exactly what he said but that’s because it’s popular. Take immigration he’s doing what he said because it’s popular. The riots in LA should and likely will reinforce this. I’d say 15% of the population or less support the riots and what they stand for. The Democrats message is stupid. It’s Trump’s Fault because he rounded up criminals. Come on now.
Take the BBB for example he didn’t cut Medicaid and Medicare because he knows how unpopular it is. It’s reduces spending but doesn’t balance the budget because he knows how unpopular those cuts are. If you want to be an effective leader and do good you need to stay in that leadership position. DOGE was also largely unpopular because it didn’t do much that people can see. The cuts were big but not a significant part of the budget and we won’t be getting taxes lowered so it’s over and we won’t hear much of it anymore. The republicans need to do what’s right and stay popular. If it’s the democrats in charge they will spend, spend, spend and worse. The democrats will be in charge if Trump isn’t popular.
