H1Bs are *legal* immigration. We need *legal* immigration.

The alternative to H1Bs is that the job just gets shipped overseas. I'd rather have a *legal* immigrant doing the job here (and creating other jobs for American citizens just by living here) than I would having the same guy take that job overseas, and creating all those secondary jobs over there.

Trump has *drastically* reduced *illegal* immigration. Not just by a little bit, by several orders of magnitude.

There are fewer illegals sneaking in now in a month now than there were every hour under Biden.


So, you can complain that Trump isn't perfect, and you can point out some flaws, but you need to bear in mind what the alternatives were, and given the existence of the deep state, how much better could anyone actually be expected to do ?

Yes, they got all the low hanging fruit. All the "easy" deportations are done, so the rest are going to go slower.

That's how literally every "get rid of the trash" problem goes.

As for the H1Bs, I've never been one to worry about some guy "stealing" my job. If he can do a better job cheaper, then he deserves it.

I can see why some guy making $50/hr mowing lawns is afraid of some Mexican stealing his job, but IMHO that's only because he's been ripping off his employers at that rate, so I won't cry for him.

Most H1Bs are tech jobs anyway, and there are plenty to go around. Would you rather they just build that new data center in India instead ? The AI they're training DGAF where it sits.

I'm not sure why you think building a data center in India will make it harder to spy on you than building it in Arizona. In case you aren't familiar with the internet, data exists globally, the physical location of the datacenter doesn't matter, until you want to shut it down. Can you explain how giving India control of that data is better than keeping it here ?

The data center is getting built, that's just going to happen. The only question is where.

Now, why do you think they poison water ? Do you even know what they use water for ?

And really, the surveillance is also going to happen no matter what you do. The question is "where is the data going to be processed"? Here, or India.

Walmart, Amazon, et al wants that data and they're going to get it the only question is whether that data and money stays in the US or not.
