TAC COMP | Bul Armory USA

I even would put that same red dot on it, I believe that is a 507 Comp up there.
Tac Comp, Carry Comp, L-Comp, some may ask why I am so obsessed with compensators lately. Well-
Great looking shooter.
I'm so sick of lusting after guns.
I'll lust and drool for months, buy the gun, fire the crap out of the gun.......then lust after another, nearly ignoring the former gun.
I have guns I absolutely HAD to have, but now haven't touched them in months to years.
I currently have a half dozen handguns that were going to be my absolute bestest edc.
But, I'm still carrying my gen 1 Shield 9mm from 2014 or my Glock 20 I bought in 2019 or so.
most days you will find a Kimber micro 9 in my pocket. Although I have been known to carry a 1911 on occasion.Of around
40 handguns, many well suited for ccw and you'll find a Beretta .25 in my pocket most of the time...there is comfort in the familiar.
I've at least five new guns in 9mm and .45 that have yet to have a round chambered; each I thought would be great to carry (except the Colt Custom...it shines like the chrome on a Peterbuilt) too pretty to shoot!
Thanks to inflation the Staccato XC has an MSRP of $4,200. When released Bul Armory is stating a $2,800 price tag so significantly cheaper while still being a high end piece.Nice pistol but the price puts it up against the staccato xc. One year warranty vs lifetime. If it's truly better it may be worth it.
For some reason a few years ago I thought a Sig P320 X5 Legion would make a GREAT carry gun.........I was wrong.Of around

Of course this is when I'm ready for it using a buzzer. Pretty sure I'd be under 2 seconds in a surprise situation....hopefully under 2.![]()
Again, hopefully. And your attacker under 6.
The Shield is the best shooting micro compact on the market, end of story. Now that the warmer months are upon us I will be switching back to my Shield Plus over the Carry Comp. Which bums me out a little since I really like the Carry Comp and equipped accouterments for nighttime work. For some reason a few years ago I thought a Sig P320 X5 Legion would make a GREAT carry gun.........I was wrong.
Like you say, "there is comfort in the familiar" is absolutely true.
Although I can use many of my handguns fine, the Shield is an extension of my arm. Much of the time I "unknowingly" don't even use the sights, but still hit 3 inch groups at 10 yards. I can draw and fire it from concealment in a bit over a second, using the thumb safety. Of course this is when I'm ready for it using a buzzer. My Shield is stock except for the magazine extention and a steel backplate. I haven't even put night sights on it. I do have night sights on my G20 because it's my daily sidekick around the house and property. The Shield is the best shooting micro compact on the market, end of story. For Me the 1911 is the ultimate pistol, however I was raised on them so I am a little biased.Getting back on track I am interested primarily in Single Action guns for range/Target purposes and I got it in my head that the 1911/2011 platform is tge pinnacle of SA guns. Is that actually true however? There are numerous other SA options such as SA versions of the P226 and there are SA versions of the 92, the 92XI Gara/Corsa look especially nice. There is also the new version of IT'S High Power though the way they have it setup is confusing- a modern gun should have an accessory rail and provisions for optics and the new High Power has neither.
There are SA versions of the CZ 75 series and there is also the Dan Wesson DWX hybrid.
What other SA guns are out there?
And don't talk about anything Springfield Atmory, fuck Springfield Armory!
The Bul Armory Tsc Comp? It's not released yet. Late 2025 they are saying. This will be my next 1911..... As soon as I find one

That's a bold statement! I've never shot or held one. I'm still bitter about my very first pistol purchase, a S&W Sigma. live and learn I guess. The Shield is the best shooting micro compact on the market, end of story. I've got the Micro-9 ESV and while I have carried it a couple times in my Pants Pocket (Wrangler Riggs have DEEP pockets) I'm waiting a Galico Holster that's on back order to come in...I don't mind carrying without a holster (some folks will loose their minds over this) but they do tend to print when you do, and with CCIA one must be vigilant about carrying discretely.most days you will find a Kimber micro 9 in my pocket. Have quite a few long and short guns that have yet to get to the range and some that haven’t been to the range in a decade.
The current M&P lineup is far beyond what the Sigmas ever were and to be fair the Sigmas were solid, dependable guns. That's a bold statement! I've never shot or held one. I'm still bitter about my very first pistol purchase, a S&W Sigma. live and learn I guess.
In Central PA I am not terribly concerned with printing. I'll IWB a Compact like a G19 or my even larger Carry Comp under just a T shirt and the butt prints prominently whenever I bend at the waist. No one ever notices. But then PA is an open Carry state besides so it doesn't super matter to begin with.I've got the Micro-9 ESV and while I have carried it a couple times in my Pants Pocket (Wrangler Riggs have DEEP pockets) I'm waiting a Galico Holster that's on back order to come in...I don't mind carrying without a holster (some folks will loose their minds over this) but they do tend to print when you do, and with CCIA one must be vigilant about carrying discretely.
Usually you have to pay extra for "punishment"...watching guys walk around swinging their hand while swearing to never shoot that fucker again is entertaining. The current M&P lineup is far beyond what the Sigmas ever were and to be fair the Sigmas were solid, dependable guns.
Still the M&P 2.0s are among tge very finest of the type in terms of ergonomics and certainly grip texture and tge newer non hinged triggers (often referred to as "flat face" despite not exactly being so)
Are much improved, trigger feel is good, above average even and I think most people would agree the understated milling on the slides are attractive.
The new Carry Comps throw understated out the window and enter into tge downright "sexy" category.
With the P320's foibles and SIG's questionable business practices exposed
I firmly belive the S&W M&P stands right alongside Glock as a premiere modern pistol.
The Shield in particular is without a doubt best in class. It has slightly greater heft and size compared to it's competitors which makes it that much more pleasant to shoot but is also no detriment to concealabilty. I rented a Shield and a P365 and shot them back to back. Tge P365 I found to be a fine gun but smaller than necessary and as a result, engulfed in my larger hands, shifted around in my grip under fire where the Shield was firmly anchored. The Shield also shoots flatter than other micro 9s do. I have no doubts as to my ability to get rounds on target in rapid fashion out to 20 yards and in fact I shoot the Shield for recreation as it is a fun gun to shoot. Not many small CCWs have that quality. Then again I find the ridiculous little 340PD to be an entertaining gun as well.........for very different reasons.
Shoot any M&P 2.0 or contemporary Shield and I think you will be amazed.Usually you have to pay extra for "punishment"...watching guys walk around swinging their hand while swearing to never shoot that fucker again is entertaining.
