Ehh I have been running a double stack version of the 1911 since 1997( Para Ordnance, BUL M5, Springfield High Capacity 1911), aside from the wide body magazine and frame they are no different than the single stack version.Hmnn, I consider the classic 1911 as a separate beast to what I am talking about here. I'm basically talking about aquring a mild race gun for range use and the 2011 in my mind is the preeminent example of the type. However......

Either of those could fit the bill also.
They are simply factory comped Beretta 92XIs which is the SAO version of the 92.
I like the grips on the red one better even if the trigger looks a little garish. Much cheaper than the Bul Armory as well @ $1,400-$1,500.
