But they can get fixated on issues that interest them. She really believes the stuff fed to her over years.

#1: Greta never mentions CHINA - the world's worst polluter
#2: Yes, there are technological solutions to moderating a planet that may be too hot or too cool. But nothing Greta proposes would make any difference at all.
#3: Overpopulation makes everything worse. People must be paid not to reproduce. Think subcutaneous implants with annual stipends. This may be expensive at first, but the costs will quickly plummet.

There are things we can do to make the planet healthier, but now each side has dug their heels in such that many think we're doing no harm at all and many think we're a decade away from a sweltering death to all.
I'm pretty sure in fact we're going to not change much at all. Elizabeth Warren is right that this fetish on idiotic shit like plastic straws isn't amounting to a hill of beans. Getting high efficiency air conditioning and not using plastic bags is a fucking laugh. The things we'd really have to do to lessen our carbon footprint virtually nobody wants to do. No AC. 300 square feet of house per person, massive taxation on air travel, no more cruises (ever). No pickup truck unless you truly need it for business, no more sports cars. I could go on literally all day with conveniences we have that cost carbon. Nobody really cares.

There is only one answer to "carbon footprint". That is less people.
Most of them are useless anyway. I would never trust any government to decide who we want to keep around, but natural selection does a hell of a job. Just get rid of the warning labels, and stop trying to protect everyone from their own stupidity and the problem will sort itself out.
And that's even assuming that whatever amount of "climate change" that actually happens is a net negative.
Can you imagine what would happen to the career of a scientist that published a paper about how climate change was going to convert some desolate wasteland somewhere into a lush forest ?
You know it's a certainty that if there is significant change that it won't all be negative. The fact that literally nobody talks about any positive changes due to the fear of the leftist inquisition means that positive changes go completely unexplored.

Being the case of "less people"; a good case to stop illegal immigration. Why move persons that don't work in to housing that is AC'd and uses fossil fuel? Why give them driver's licenses for cars? Why overload the existing local infrastructure. If anything the environmentalist should be working with the immigrant source nations to develop living in a low carbon footprint culture. The climate is controlled by our Sun. More and more real scientists are starting to realize that the real scientists they mocked were right. Our changing weather patterns are controlled by the Sun, our temperatures are cyclical and driven by Sun cycles.

True but mixing long term cosmic cycles with the impact humans have on the planet right now are two complete different discussions. Life on earth is just a small.fracton of the cosmic and geological history of the planet. Life will end and resurface again like the planet has done and we cannot do anything about that. It only takes a super volcano or an asteroid to end most life if not all and could be up to 1 or 2 millon years until new life forms evolve and flourish. There will be nothing left human made.
So talking about long term geological and cosmic cycles is putting things out of context when addressing enviromentsl problems in the shor term. Globa warming happens but we should also talk about air and water quality and how we are going to manage over population with the limited resources of the planet.
One of the most absurd things is to take sides on a problem that affect all. The politicians love that we take sides so they can use the fears to gain more votes and control but what about everyone coming together to demand these corrupt politicians ton stop playing games and get serious.
Everyone says electric cars are the future. Well, probably but how you can manage the huge surge in power demand when we are still burning coal to keep up with the current deman growth. The massive adoption of electric cars might result in more polition than the modern gas engines in the first place.
The solution is nuclesr power and reneable. Not the absurd designs we had in the last 70 yesrs but new modern engineering of nuclear plants that are 100% safe and canmot melt down.
Grow in renewble energy while we pivot in moder nuclear until renewable, efficiency processes and modern batteries a d storage solutiins that can be sustaibable then you can shut down modern nuclear but after shooting down coal and oil amd gas first, in that order.
This will take decades but it is doable.
Perhaps the most chslleging part of this is not technical but how to manage the plotical class and the lobby that have all this power.
The stablishment will not change unless we change the laws who favor them.
Right, left and center we all have the same core problems and we need to recognize who the real enemy is here.
But is it the fault of the career politicians and their lobbyst friends or our fault for having a system that reflect who we really are, a careless complacent, corrupt society?

1: Solar Activity: This is very likely what caused the Ice Ages.
2: Volcanic Eruptions: As recently as 1816 this was demonstrated Year Without a Summer - Wikipedia
3: Meteors: With a "Nuclear Winter" following.
Notice that in each scenario it is a GLOBAL COOLING that is fatal. Not a Global Warming.
Nevertheless, each can be addressed with technology.
THREE SOLUTIONS
1: Solar Shields / Mirrors: Molecule-Thin Mirrors and Shields can be placed into orbit and used to increase/decrease how sunlight reaches the earth. Days can be lengthened or shortened. The impact of storms can be significantly reduced.
2: Filters: Volcanic Explosions will not be avoidable for a very long time. However, the aftermath can be reduced. Huge clouds of Volcanic Ash take years to settle to the earth. Fans and Filters on an enormous scale could shorten the recovery period significantly. And to increase Sunlight see #1.
3: Meteor Intervention: We need to identify, locate, and then change the course of dangerous meteors. If they do impact, see #1 and #2

Our current crop of Climate Change alarmists are promoting "solutions" that solve nothing - but merely are paths to political power. And take notice how often Climate Change activists confuse Climate Change with Pollution. One is caused by humans - hands down. The other - most likely not.

We have seen what the max global warming looked like.
Remember all that carbon we are burning came out of the atmosphere to begin with. It's been buried for millions of years, but we are just putting it back.
Honestly evidence suggests that the "fully warmed" earth was pretty lush and nice.
Even the land lost to sea level rise if the polar caps completely melt will probably be offset by land that gets unglaciated.
Greenland actually becomes green ? How tragic.
Some rich guys beachfront home needs a levy and some pumps now ? Not the "end of the world" that the left is selling.
