I bought a 590 boost this year and love it. Some like assisted opening, others say an axis lock doesn't need it. I like the assisted. Full liner, and S30v steel. I can tell you this does open faster than the full autos I've owned.

I can attest to the quickness of the assisted opening. My favorite knife is a Benchmade Emissary and it is lightening fast to open. Just one more option to consider when buying....

What's street price for a full sized military?

Prices can fluctuate wildly depending on the specific version. A plain jane Military can be had for around $120 if you hunt around, bout $140 for full retail. The version I want is the titanium frame lock model and those run roughly around $250 give or take a Jackson.

I'll have to reread the knife sharpening thread and pick something up soon. I use to have the touch with sharpening when I was younger, I seem to have lost it. Time to practice on the kitchen knives.

Should have been pretty damn sharp when you bought it. Is it s30v steel? If it is its harder to sharpen than what your probably used to.
