Or the Tisas/MAC DS9 or $1400 and get a prodigy. The Turkish 2011’s are absolutely good to go and offer tremendous value. The prodigy seems to have gotten thru its teething issues and is compelling as well.Rather spend $1K and get the Girsan Witness 2311 Match X.
I gotta tell you I wasn't a fan of the Sig Kool-Aid until I got to run through some Military issued P226's then I had to have one,,,got an older one than obviously had the hell shot out of it: Worked perfectly, Flawlessly for a weekend Training session involving 2K rounds of Gold Dots....Bought another because it was nicer looking; again, no problem....Gander was going out, and I bought (2) P226 Legions and (2) P220 Legions: Glad I got them for half off, because they weren't half the gun those two older ones are. The Guide Rod in one of the P220's was about a 1/4" short from the Factory, called, wrote, left messages...crickets. I filled out the Registration Cards and ones to become part of their special club of Legion owners, with promises of range bags, ammo, and swag....again, nothing.Pre realization that SIG is a POS company I would have considered purchasing one of these. Now however, well SIG is in the same category as Springfield Armory and Rock River arms: on the never ever buy list.
I have a few sig 365’s and I have to say I really like them. I had some concerns about the firing pin on mine so I called the number to have them looked at. The guy in the other end of the phone was fantastic and said try this if you want to but you can send them back if you would like. I had read online that some oil can gum up the firing pin so I asked the guy about that and he said to go ahead and do it without coming out and saying that. That’s because they recommend only a gunsmith removing the firing pin. I was fully satisfied that this would correct it and it did.I gotta tell you I wasn't a fan of the Sig Kool-Aid until I got to run through some Military issued P226's then I had to have one,,,got an older one than obviously had the hell shot out of it: Worked perfectly, Flawlessly for a weekend Training session involving 2K rounds of Gold Dots....Bought another because it was nicer looking; again, no problem....Gander was going out, and I bought (2) P226 Legions and (2) P220 Legions: Glad I got them for half off, because they weren't half the gun those two older ones are. Only satisfaction I ever got from Sig was an old, well used P220 that I sent back to have refinished, overhauled, and new Night Sights and they DID treat me right with that one.
Seems to be common place with Gun Companies: They start off building a desirable, high quality product, get big overnight, and the next thing you know they're turning out shit while riding the name and reputation and should someone complain, some schmuck in Customer Service apologizes profusely and offers to "make it right" which sometimes happens, sometimes takes multiple times, sometimes you just end up fucked. (S&W Custom Shop anyone?)
Much as I truly loved Remington and their products, once I started meeting people that worked there, not only hearing but sometimes seeing the abject shit, and people assembling guns that shouldn't be allowed to put together legos...well, it's no fucking wonder why they ended up the way they did.
