I honestly, would not mind witnesses. I want, Nadler, Schitt, Pelosi, Biden (both) and the whistle-blower, and all the others from the House, to give testimony, under oath, as to their involvement in all this. Then, whatever the truth is, is acted upon.
If that means the President did something wrong, prove it. If that means the House attempted a political coup', then prove it and act on it.

It's quite obvious the democrats in the house have attempted a political coup. Unfortunately there are just enough spineless never trumper republicans in the senate to prevent McConnell from dismissing this "case" before it gets started.

Meanwhile the number of ticket requests for a trump speech in NJ has reached 100,000 for a forum that holds only 7,400. In NEW JERSEY. The disconnect between the elected elites in washington and the rest of the country is huge.
I would say that history will judge the democrats harshly except for the fact that most history departments in colleges are run by marxist assholes that wouldn't know the truth if it bit them on the ass.

Hakim Jeffreys thinks there is a war in Crimea. This was in his prepared speech. Schiff sounded like he was trying to impeach Putin. I didn't listen to the whole thing. I don't have the patiance for stupidity.

I disagree. If they get the votes to call for more "evidence", the trial will drag on forever. The longer the trial drags on, the more people will realize there was no crime committed - at least by Trump. He will look better and better. And congress, both republicans and democrats, will look shittier and shittier. Especially when all their family and friends side deals keep coming to light.

The reason the Senate is not allowing more witnesses is to keep the 'evidence' the House presented in the limelight. That evidence was severely inadequate to win the Senate's 2/3's vote to remove Trump from office. It is not the job of the Senate to further the evidence of impeachment. That was the job of the House.
The only reason the morons in the House majority are prolonging this farce is to keep Bernie and Pocahontas off the campaign trail. The dums know both of them are surefire losers to Trump and they'll water down the votes for Mayor Buttface.
In addition, the longer they keep this charade in front of the lemmings on the left the more radicalized they'll be in November.
IMO, there is no chance of 2/3's Senate yay's. And the longer this goes on the more charged the repubs will be in November.

Absolutely a strong possibility. Since they know their vote won't change the outcome if they vote along partisan lines they can appease their constituents without fear of reprisal by crossing over.

That's what happened in the house, makes sense for it to happen in the Senate.
Also, since the outcome is a foregone conclusion with the 2/3rds vote required there is a lot less pressure. None of the votes are going to make a difference, so they can vote however they think will get them reelected.

I have been watching select YouTube video's of the opening statements from the loony-left. It seems to me, the House managers have two, maybe three staff writer's. Every single speech, every single complaint is nearly identical .
Anyone else notice, GOP Senators are using 'fidget spinners', doodling and doing just about anything they can think of to stay awake during this fiasco.
And the House managers, brought up a video of Lindsey Graham for 30 years ago, Im praying to God, one of these GOP Senators has the balls to show the Biden tape of his Quid Pro Quo statement. That will essentially kill the House Manager argument
