I agree, the sky has been falling for decades. However this time, Im paying more attention, I see things for myself ,Im seeing things in this country I never thought I would ever see. Im late to the party, but began this year.

I can't even be mad anymore. It's so far past that point.

We're being run by petulant children who only care about their personal wealth and to hell with destroying the country's future. This merely moves the timeline up sooner. At a day in the increasingly near future this debt will go kaboom. I just hope people remember how we got there when it happens.

We are on borrowed time. As soon as the USD gets supplanted as the global reserve currency it's game over.

Our vaunted 'representatives' have voted for enslavement of their constituency. Kind of makes me think of the Chi-com's that make the condemned dig their own grave and charge their family for the cost of the cartridge used to blow their brains out.

My daughter informed me that my two teenaged Grandchildren are both the last two, in their respective classroom's, that stand for and recite the pledge of allegiance to the flag every morning. They are getting a lot of crap from their fools students and losing 'friends'. She is so sad they are going through this and so proud of them for the stand they have chosen to make, as am I. Both are top of their class.

I'm proud of them but very disappointed for the rest of their peers

The problem is there is no other currency that could even remotely challenge the dollar. The Chinese yuan is not accepted as much because the government won't allow it to freely trade. And they are in a demographic death spiral that will cause their economy to shrink over the coming decades.

Cryptocurrency might supplant the dollar but it is still in it's infancy and plenty of people (including me) don't understand it.

This just means our elected representatives will be emboldened to make bad decisions right up to the point the debt problem finally explodes. Lucky us.
