That's awful... but it makes me feel pretty good about buying up the .380 when Walmart closed out pistol ammo.

As I've gotten older I think I've developed adult-onset ADHD or something - any YouTube videos (with rare exception) over 30 minutes I just tune out. I have two monitors so I'm usually multi-tasking anyway..
I watched a few of YankeeMarshall's vids years ago and didn't like him then. And recently he's gotten worse with attacking other gun channels and his CHAZ video... he might be a gun owner but he's not on our side.
Although I'm sure poor business practice has a ton to do without it, major outside influences have also brought them to this. Deal with massive lawsuits ( not settled, just dealing with legal fees) and bankruptcy could be thier only option.

Just got back from Wallyworld to get bicycle tire patches. Had hunting ammo in a bunch of calibers, no .223 or handgun. Plenty of birdshot that I go through a lot of.
Just a thought- this may be deliberate. Conflicts brings views. The more outrageous the statement, the more people's are driven to see what he is saying. I also think the guy is an ass, but possibly playing it out for all he soak in because of it.

I'm going to need 850 rounds for my 47 hour firearm certification course soon. I want to take it with my new full size G21 but don't have very much 45 FMJ ammo. I might have to take it with my G23 as I have probably 400 rounds of 40 in FMJ and I guess I can buy the balance from them at around $20/ box of 50 if they still have it in stock. I also believe I need to use my hollow points in the target grading portion as it says you need to do it with "duty" ammo. I guess that's what it means. I have lots of 9mm but my 9mm guns are all pretty small and I don't want to have to qualify with one of those.

Walk into Cabela's and look at their gun selection and tell me they are "fully stocked". Call DD's Ranch and ask him if he's fully stocked. I don't think this is exaggerated at all. It's also getting worse.
Regarding the video, the guy says multiple times "This may look like a lot of guns, but it's not compared to what they normally have". It's a bad video because what he is trying to show is out of context.

Yeah that is probably a bad plan For them. Most people with off the wall caliber guns have plenty of ammo which is why it is still on the shelf. I tend to buy ammo for guns I want to buy to avoid the situation I ended up in with the 17 HMR.
I hope it works out for anyone who is doing it But in my opinion it is about as sensible as buying a single chicken to supply eggs.

Stopped at the Wal-Mutt near Lakawana PA Thursday to pick up some Hoppe's on my way to the PA Game Land Range.. (forgot mine at home)... They had a SHIT TON of #6 and #8 Bird shot, some 300 Win Mag, and 30-06... but EVERYTHING else was GONE!

Those airsoft pistols are pretty close in size, feel and weight to the real thing. Field stripping is about the same as well.

How exactly does one achieve such a state exactly? I mean I buy a lot of ammo, a lot, but I never seem to have any in stock really.
How do you buy ammo and not shoot it? I suppose I am just a glutton, no self control. As a kid I could never just suck on a tootsie pop,I'd crunch it down immediately. I don't pour a glass of soda, I sit down with a 2 liter bottle and it's gone in one sitting. Big bag of Doritos? Likewise, I'm taking the bag and its gone in 20 minutes.
I buy a 1k case of ammo and its all in the berm within a week. All I got now is a no touch stash of 1k IMI 77gr, 500 rounds of Gold Dot 223 and some HST 9mm. Anything else I have is just leftovers from previous training or range sessions.

Yeah it was a little nuts but I have a P238 on the way and I definitely don't "need" it (technically the gun or the ammo) but it was driving me crazy thinking I would have nothing at all for it.

That was with shipping. Cost per box was $16 and change, about what that particular ammo went for pre panic. That's why I bought some.
400 rounds total, that'll make a nice little range day when I get around to it. Plus a couple hundred or so 75gr. 5.56. Maybe I will shoot one of @dsdmmat's matches with the Galil. It amuses me use use a gun like that for match work.
Right now, it is tough.
When ammo is stocked in the stores, I would go shooting, a lot.
Whatever I shot, I would always buy 50% more than I shot. Shhot 1000 rounds, buy 1500 to keep the numbers flowing...
