Once again this technically should go in the pistol forum........ but I am going to put it here, I think you all understand why.
Out of really short barrels 5.56 generates only slightly more muzzle energy than 10mm ammo does in a similar length barrel. I'm thinking that put of a 9" or less barrel 10mm might be more effective than 5.56.

Going off some rough numbers over at "ballistics by the inch" at an 8" barrel 10mm is beating the 5.56 (.223) in ft/lbs.. not by a great amount (135g 10mm vs 55g .223) but still beating it (something like 10ftlbs, but the 150g are closer to 50ftlbs)

In PA it is illegal to carry a loaded long gun in a vehicle. However both "pistols" and SBR/SBS are exempt from this restriction.

That's why keeping this a pistol with your LTCF would be perfect, if you ever plan to travel out if PA (say ohio) you dont need daddy gooberments permission to bring it with you

I keep a Glock 19 in its case, in a bag but that is it. I'm not really worried so much about day to day problems as I am stuck on the road in a riot type stuff. Hence me wanting something more than just a pistol.

With that reasoning I will agree with you this may be a perfect option..

I know we did a this vs that comparing a 5.56 pistol (I belive an ACE) and a 9mm pistol (the PSA Ak thingy) and with the barrel length and all I leaned 5.56

But with this being 10mm I think you will be able to keep it much more compact (side folder) with say a 10 round G20 mag and then one or 2 33 stick mags taking up almost no room in the bag, vs trying to keep a 30 round 5.56 or even a 10round magazine as compact

An 8 inch 10mm is talking roughly 1400 FPS maybe 1500 if you are using standard rounds. If you use something light like from Underwood, it may get a little more but it in no way compares to a 55 gr .223 from a 7.5 inch barrel going at about 2200 FPS.

At 2200 FPS, something like a GD Softpoint will still expand and since it’s still going at over 2200 FPS, the rifle stretch cavity ballistics are still there.

You aren't getting 2200 from 5.56 out of a 7.5" barrel. More like 2,000 or below. Also I can use a 10mm PCC at my range's silhouette bay but not 5.56. No centerfire rifle. But some of the plates are very beefy so something with a little oomph over 9mm would be nice. Some of the plates take multiple 9mm hits to knock over.
