More than a month later and Russia is still having immense trouble pushing out from the border. It's barely moved in a month, and even lost ground near kyiv.
It cannot possibly replace equipment at the rate it is losing it. There is talk of 100k reserves being called up. Who cares? If it cannot feed them once they cross the border and cannot equip them what's the point. Ukraine has 10M+ men of fighting age, all volunteers, and morale through the roof.
As Russia blows its wad of tire-rotted military equipment Ukraine sees a flood of western weapons. Just this month Panzerfaust anti-tank from Germany, and starstreak from UK as new toys for them, plus more of the same old stuff (javelins, stingers, rifles, ammo, etc.). The west is in part using Ukraine as a great big test ground for its weapons against russia. This is part of the reason Russia is not going to send its extremely limited supply of "maybe" current gen equipment. They cannot afford to have their silly new t14--which they cannot even afford to produce--taken out in combat.

I read NATO is amassing an army on the Polish border with Belarus, I have no idea if its true or not , but if it is, I can see why they have to pull back , If NATO came in from the North through Belarus, it would cut off all units in Northern Ukraine , which would be catastrophic for Russia.
