Sadly most of us predicted it.
Is it coincidence that they are now trying to keep tabs on this equipment when Americans, some even on this forum, joke about wanting to go buy some of this equipment from the Ukraine?

Sadly most of us predicted it.
That doesn't sounds like a very good plan to me.
The problem with the Ukraine conflict is that it is business as usual for the Pentagon's old timers and those cold warriors that are part of the millitary-industrial complex...a proxy war with Russia. The bigger problem: To Russia, it is NOT a proxy war.Let's see if the West will pick up the tab for re-building Ukraine's infrastructure and keeps paying for it each time there is a retaliatory strike. We know how deeply the West cares about Ukrainian people.
Regime change plan didn't work, Russians are more patriotic and smarter.
I am sure the Russians also have a plan if NATO troops get directly involved.
So do you guys see more similarities with 2022 being more like 1914 or 1939?

BREAKING REPORT: Pentagon Has Now Officially Confirmed – US BOOTS ARE ON THE GROUND – In Ukraine...
You'll have give it a little time to fester. Is there an official link to confirm this?
I think it's more like 1914. All belligerents seem to be unaware of just how quickly this could turn into a disaster.1939 for sure. Little things as well as lager things. But, all on its own as well.
WW2:
The major causes of World War II were numerous. They include the impact of the Treaty of Versailles following WWI, the worldwide economic depression, failure of appeasement, the rise of militarism in Germany and Japan, and the failure of the League of Nations.
Some of this is true today, a lot of it is. Change a few names and words around and we are there.

I see this story, which we were already aware of.
Why Biden is sending US weapons experts into Ukraine
The Pentagon announced this week that it is sending weapons experts into Ukraine to inspect American-supplied arms being used against Russia. The group will be among the first U.S. military m…thehill.com
These are Soldiers in one fashion or another, but are there fighting troops there?
I think it's more likely than not there are the secret squirrel types running around there. CIA operators, green berets, delta, seals, combat controllers, marsoc etc...
I'm sure in very specialized teams and small numbers but no doubt they are unofficially on the ground
I can see paralells between the lead up to ww1 and WW2. That's why I just posted the question.I think it's more like 1914. All belligerents seem to be unaware of just how quickly this could turn into a disaster.

Ww1 exploded very quickly. There were all the colonial aspects and underlying tensions already established. It just took a random quasi important guy to get assassinated to get the party started. There are similarities here but also many from 1939.
I feel that perhaps the current world tensions are just unresolved from WW2. For those who don't know look up operation paperclip you might be surprised at what you find out. We brought on a lot of high ranking Nazis into critical positions of government. Many in the US and UK wanted to join Germany and go fight Russia in 1945. Churchill even had the operational plan name operation mincemeat.
What can they do, without triggering article 5?How will Russia retaliate?
What can they do, without triggering article 5?
Article 5 is not as set in stone as many people think.
Despite what you may have read, the meet up in Berlin was a tense one.
Global economies haven't collapsed just yet.1939 for sure. Little things as well as lager things. But, all on its own as well.
