(CNN) — Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the country’s military to increase its number of troops by 180,000, the third time he has expanded its ranks since launching his invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

The increase would take the overall number of Russian military personnel to nearly 2.4 million, including 1.5 million troops, according to the decree published by the Kremlin Monday. The new staffing will come into effect in December, it said.

The Russian economy is not tied to Europe or the US , We made dam sure of that after the invasion . They are doing pretty good right now , The defense and steel industries are booming .

Sooner or later the high command will tell him , ""look ,its not doable any longer, We no longer have the ability. Their "high tech" drones come from Iran and they are getting ammunition from North Korea. They may win this war but it certainly hasn't positioned them as superpower by any means.
