This has been going on for 8 years. Neo-Nazis from around the world were going to Donbass where they can just kill people and be praised as heroes. Donbass was Neo-Nazi wet dream. They could do there what they wouldn't be allowed to do in the West. Over 14,000 Russian people murdered ON THEIR OWN SOIL.
27 million during WWII wasn't enough?

Personally I was hoping the Azov battalion and the chechyans would get into a battle roayle and fight to the last man wiping each other off the earth.

Xi also knows he can't be cut off, for the same reason Europe won't stop buying Russian oil. It's simply too painful.

You are right of course. We should sell Taiwain a shitload of Javalins and Stingers, and they should train shitloads of civilians in their use, and prepare to distribute them anonymously.

Xi might not care about the troops he sends in, but he can't afford to lose too many planes and tanks.

Soviets didn't try to Russify Ukraine. In fact they created Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic by ADDING territory in the East, which was populated by ethnic Russians. Donbass region was Russia's center for coal mining. It added more proletariat to Ukrainian peasantry. The symbolic hammer and sickle, which is a communist ideal. They also made Ukrainian language and literature mandatory subjects in schools throughout all regions of the republic.

When this was all one country it didn't really matter, but when Soviet Union broke up and Ukraine ended up with artificially created borders, this is the root of the problem in Ukraine today.

Artificially created borders have been the cause of most of the conflicts in the world for the last 100 years.

I mostly blame the British.

Just look at their rhetoric around the 2016 election. Sounds an awful lot like Nazi rhetoric, but with Russians taking the place of the Jews that were manipulating the country and the cause of all that ails the Democrats.

Putin to me has never come off as a tyrant or a dictator. He has always seemed to me as a mafia type, a crime boss/mob boss ex KGB type. There has to be a benefit in it for him and his mafia. I understand the timing of invading now. America and Europe are run by weak leaders, their militaries focused on gender and being woke, fighting covid etc. if you were going to invade Ukraine the timing makes sense. What I’m questioning is the why. It also appears as though Russia has not been necessarily sending their best troops and best equipment, instead sending older equipment and the equivalent of our JROTC and national guard weekend warriors for the most part. Why hold back from using your best in order to have a fast quick victory? Something seems up, like the best hand has yet to be played.

it also seems like the entire world has United now to some degree against Russia (even begrudgingly China has said stuff and done a little something banking wise) you have soros, Clinton, Biden, Kerry etc all in support of Ukraine. What if Putin is not the one pulling the strings on this invasion? What if someone else “has a gun to his head” and is forcing him to do this? Putin historically has been free to do what he wants. Just a random thought I had.

Amazon is full of respirators again. 3M half face mask for $20 with an N100 filter is good. No clue about it’s official rating against radioactive dust (post above says not great!) but I have several at the house. Generally I use a full face one for sanding. One of the best tools I ever got as it integrates an impact rated screen as well.

Russian military briefer Gen. Konashenkov reported that loses on the Ukrainian side are many times more than on the Russian side. He also warned that all incidents of mistrearment of Russian POW's are being recorded and traced. All responsible will be punished severely.

Looks like you are starting to see cracks in Putin's plans. Sounds like the the Belarus dictator would like those negotiations to start asap and even in Ukraine by his border. Also it appears that more and more sanctions are starting to be added to the original ones. The problem is the longer this goes without the Russians being able to achieve their goals, puts more pressure on Putin to snatch victory by any means possible.

I'll be honest, IMO Russia has been uncharacteristic. They appear to be showing restraint and are doing the best they can with their technology and training to use "precision" instead of wide scale usage of area attacks.

Obviously the news is going to highlight civilian damage but the Russians have the capacity to absolutely bombard these Ukrainian positions and they are not doing so. They seem willing to take heavier losses to minimize damage to Ukraine.

That is surprising to me at least.

Russia could fire up the multiple launch rockets and howitzers and go to town but they haven't. There aren't really even any videos of them running over Ukrainian protestors who jump in front of their tank columns.

In all of this, I find it amazing how many people are believing the stories of war through the MSM.

I guess the Covid practice run really worked. The media convinced the World of the horribly deadly Covid and now, so many are picking up and running with whatever the MSM says. Awesome.

Does anyone, professional or personal fact check shit?

Nearly everything that has been reported on has either been faked or half truths.

Restraint, certainly not on Putin's part. If we are being honest, we still can't hide the absolute fact that Russia is the invading army.
