I have to wonder what putins plan is. I feel like there is piece of the puzzle yet to be revealed or that is missing. (I’m assuming Putin thinks with logic and rational thought and is not stark raving mad)
Putin to me has never come off as a tyrant or a dictator. He has always seemed to me as a mafia type, a crime boss/mob boss ex KGB type. There has to be a benefit in it for him and his mafia. Idk see how invading Ukraine offered him much. Ok sure you invade and then what? You occupy the country and have an endless guerrilla war on your hands? Continually drain your military of equipment and manpower? I’m pretty sure the Russians remember their time in Afghanistan and don’t necessarily want to repeat that. Ok so you invade the country and then just leave? What benefit is that? Thru various means the entire world has turned against Putin and Russia. Cut Russia off economically from the rest of the world? Where is the benefit to doing all this? The cost of doing this has to less than the reward for whatever success the Russians are chasing. I understand the timing of invading now. America and Europe are run by weak leaders, their militaries focused on gender and being woke, fighting covid etc. if you were going to invade Ukraine the timing makes sense. What I’m questioning is the why. It also appears as though Russia has not been necessarily sending their best troops and best equipment, instead sending older equipment and the equivalent of our JROTC and national guard weekend warriors for the most part. Why hold back from using your best in order to have a fast quick victory? Something seems up, like the best hand has yet to be played.

It may not be a safe assumption. This man has abhorrent personality traits and deviant psychopathologies, I'd bet he couldn't clear an MMPI. Imagine FUAC with similar sociopath, temper, and Narcissistic issues but with nuclear launch codes.

If this is true, COVID will just have been a "preparation" for what's to come.

I am beginning to wonder if the whole mask thing was for people to have or get familiar with masks for possible nukes. If anyone knows about radiation, air itself doesn't get radioactive, it is the dust/debris. Even cloth masks do something for larger debris. Along with "locking down". You'd do the same in a nuke situation.

This video is interesting in that it is, SUPPOSEDLY, an American living in Kyiv, and doing business in Ukraine.

His ideas have a certain merit, but he never offers any proof that he is actually in Kyiv, like a dated newspaper or a look out the window.

True and very possible, but then you run the risk of have too much of your military in another country while potentially causing the rest of the world to unite and try to take you out.

It takes very little for a modern military to destroy buildings one by one. They could use tanks, or mobile artillery, or laser/gps-guided plane-launched bombs. If they're unopposed by serious defenses, the offensive force does not need to be very large.

As an endgame, the Russians could easily destroy Ukrainian cities with conventional weapons (ex/ large thermobaric bombs) and not lose any more Russian troops.

The Russians could call for unconditional Ukrainian surrender and then destroy a city the day after each call for surrender is ignored or rebuffed. This might accomplish nothing more than solidify Russia as the world's largest pariah nation. But, who knows what the hell Putin is thinking nowadays.

You are able though to say what occurred after the storm and compare notes to see why you were so off. I’m still gonna stay neutral on this one. I would very much prefer our foreign policy be to minimize or eliminate our dependence on critical infrastructure imports (eg. oil), pull our people out of the warring countries, and unequivocally state that you can burn down your own house, but the second you head toward ours we will run you over and back up for a second go.

No KN95 is going to protect you from the dust to that level. Go wear one and sweep a stone cutting floor, or demo sheet rock. You’ll be tasting it for hours.

I won't take on the role as this thread's Health Physicist but particulate masks and half face respirators are essentially useless with low protection factors. Even a properly fit full face respirator may need charcoal canisters because the air could in fact be radioactive with Iodine 131 gas. Respirators can reduce exposure from airborne particulate contamination but do nothing for radioactive gases, provide no shielding for radiation (e.g. gamma waves), and does not help with whole body or external exposure from radioactive contaminates, some of which may be high energy emitters.
