Visa cards issued by financial institutions outside of Russia will no longer work in Russia, the company said in a statement.

Reminds me of the scene in Braveheart where the English King says "arrows cost money. Send in the Irish, the dead cost nothing..." He used an expendable group to weaken the enemy before sending in his full compliment of troops.

I was listening to a breakdown of Russian Logistics and it was pretty interesting,

A Russian Battalion consists of 800 men, 20 tanks 30 APC's

7 fuel trucks are required per day per battalion ( in combat)

200 tons of ammo, tanks apcs machine guns anti tank anti air ect

The ural trucks, can carry 5.5 tons. requireing 40 trucks of ammo per day

1-1.5 trucks per day for food 6-9 tons per day.

water 2-3 trucks if needed

Parts , bulls shit, other. 4 trucks.

So a Russian battalion requires between 40- 50 trucks per day, per battalion. (in combat)

1-3 hours to load trucks

average speed 25-30 miles an hour .

Convoy with 100 meter spaceing is around 3 miles long

from the rail head in Belarus, 202 miles, to 5 miles outside Kiev. roughly 5 hour trip ( not including traffic jams )

1-2 hours to unload,

then 5 hours back to Belarus.( not including traffic jams )

(Artillery units were not counted )they require at least 30-40 trucks a day, bumping up the total number.

There are an estimated total 150 Russian battalions in Ukraine requireing 50 trucks per day

150 x 50 =7,500 trucks to supply entire force in Ukraine.

Russia has 10 support brigades with 450 trucks thats 4,500 trucks . Almost half the trucks they need or roughly supplying 60% of the army

the skys and airports are still contested so airlift for the moment isnt possible on any large scale.

The further into Ukraine they go , the longer it takes to be resupplied.

Taking the airports is the most critical part of the campaign for Russia .

Day 5 sitting idle on the ""Kiev"" highway , something went terribly wrong for the Russians

One report said, they have'nt seen any people outside of the trucks . Dont know, kinda hard to believe, but so is a lot of stuff we hear .

Who would have thought a good supply of road spikes could fuck them up?

We don’t hear much about their convoy north of Kyiv now do we? They created a whole long traffic jam ensuring that with minimal effort it could get locked in place and impossible to resupply.

One of the links I posted a couple days ago the analyst didn’t buy this. Russia wants people to think it is strong. Losing thousands of troops as it has already done, its invasion massively slowed it looks weak. Its best interests are served with quick, brutal victories. It cannot achieve those. It still has not controlled the skies and apparently lost several aircraft just yesterday.

Each day Ukraine is being fed new troops. I’ve seen crazy estimates but it’s safe to say thousands of expats are arriving shortly. It is also being resupplied with ammo, and the Poland-supplied jets is not a dead issue; they are being negotiated now.

They may yet take more major cities but none of this is going to plan for putler.

After backing a far-right coup in 2014, the US has fueled a proxy war in eastern Ukraine that has left 14,000 dead. Russia's invasion is an illegal and catastrophic response.
"The United States aids Ukraine and her people," Adam Schiff declared in January 2020, "so that we can fight Russia over there, and we don’t have to fight Russia here."

Schiff made this statement during the opening of Donald Trump's first impeachment trial, where the Democratic Party's bid to ensure unimpeded US weapons sales to Ukraine was presented, and widely accepted, as a valiant defense of US democracy and national security.

Two years later, the US use of Ukraine to "fight Russia over there" has reached its logical end-game: illegally, murderously, and catastrophically, Russia has invaded Ukraine to end the fight.

Although Russia’s invasion cannot be excused, it also cannot be understood, and resolved, without acknowledging that the war in Ukraine did not start last month.

Putin has carried out a major escalation of a conflict that has raged for eight years, at the cost of more than 14,000 lives. It began with a US-backed, far-right-led 2014 coup that ousted Ukraine’s democratically elected government in Kiev. In its place came a regime chosen not by the Ukrainian people, but by Washington.

The coup government encouraged assaults on Ukraine's Russian-speaking population, who took up arms to defend themselves with Moscow's support. Rather than pressure its client in Kiev to implement a negotiated settlement under the 2015 Minsk Accords, the US has instead poured in weapons and military advisers to assist Ukraine's fascist-infused armed forces in the proxy war that it helped initiate. While now hailing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a national hero, the US has sided with far-right Ukrainian nationalists over the peace platform that Zelensky was elected on in 2019.

You bring up a good point! In China's CCP, the only thing that matters is "face". Saving face, the face of things. They have to be fuming over the Olympics disaster.
We have seen whole modernistic beautiful cities built and used in spec real estate deals. But the buildings are uninhabited and even uninhabitable. They are a facade. The Look Wonderful but are cheap Chinese crap.
The Russians are using Chinese Tires on their equipment that are not holding up.
Where is their "air superiority".
Perhaps because of the corruption in Russia, their Airforce and Army are just a facade. And Because of the corruption Putin doesn't know and believed his own propaganda and the readiness reports from his own corrupt commanders.
Their submarines are what I don't underestimate.
BTW. China has turned off its identification transponders on their shipping fleets. It is as if they just vanished.
