One of my kids is upset about this too. But I told them to sit back and see what happens first. Think about this: the internet we all know and love (mostly) started around 1996 (after Al Gore invented it), and seemed to be doing fine through 2015 when OBasturd decided to fuck with it with more of his social justice type regulations. The Kenyan and his BS can go away as far as I am concerned. If it turns out that so called Net Neutrality was a good thing, we'll find out in due time, and they can be put back in place. In the meantime, don't get your underwear all in a twist over it.

Not sure what to think. Supposedly repeal will allow evil corporations to charge more money for certain services.
The people in favor of net neutrality overlook the fact that corporations like google, amazon, facebook and twitter are in favor of keeping the current rules. Are they sure those companies have our best interests at heart?

The people have been given all the freedom they so rightly feel they deserve. Now once they have it they have no clue what to do with it.
Keep in mind just as these big service providers will be controlling the Internet, so will you. Ultimately you still will have the final decision as to where and how you browse.

Google wouldn’t really be for it. They can charge us for YouTube and what not. But I’d rather have the big Corps keep it the way it is.
Explain how the government stepping out of it equates to the government censoring free speech.
You have no First Amendment right to use someone else's medium (website,PA system, etc) to disseminate your views.

2 years ago, ISP's weren't doing all the things the pro NN crowd is saying will be an issue now so what was really the motivating factor in forcing the FCC to adopt it?
The whole Pro NN argument revolves around "they can do this now, they can do that now, this might happen now, this could happen now or in the future ISP's can..." and frankly those are pretty shitty reasons to let the get the government involved.
I look at it this way, any regulations Obama enacted isn't good for anyone, nice job! All that happened today was the internet regulations went back to what they were prior to 2015.

Repealing is a bad idea. The internet is as crucial to modern society as electricity and public roads. Businesses are now freer to f with it in ways that will definitely hurt consumers. How will any of this possibly help us? The only problem 99% of us have with our internet is that we'd prefer if it were faster and/or cheaper. Throttling and pay for play is a bad idea.

What capitalism is that? ISPs already use regulation heavily in anti-competitive ways. How many ISPs do you have to choose from currently? Most of the country only has one viable ISP. So stuck with time warner what if they decide they want to charge me a premium for certain content. What option do I have? How is capitalism going to help me out?
This paves the way for things like now your monthly bill only allows a certain amount of data, but hey don't worry if you stream content from some of our partners those partners' data is free.

what’s bad with how things are now? Again, why should we have to pay to get access to media? Why should we give power to Verizon, or ComCast to access a website? It’s like the beginning of the darker phase of the internet imo
