A person of logic can reasonably think reciprocity would be covered under the actual wording of the second amendment, a federal protection against this kind of lesser government overreach. This is where an association of like minded people should step in and spend some millions of their dollars taking this case all the way to the supreme court instead of blowing it on their office holder's so they can live the life style of the rich and famous.

National Reciprocity will not change that unless they also eliminate the NY-UnSAFE Act as well. They also need to eliminate the 10 round magazine capacity restriction and allow the purchase of NFA items allowed elsewhere around the country.

The safe act turned this “crime” from a class A misdemeanor to a felony, so it is indeed a safe act violation, same for the magazine violation.
He would have been arrested prior to the SAFE Act as well. Lessor charges, for sure.
These charges will be plead down very low.

Just because someone has told you otherwise doesn't make it so.
You have a duty to refuse to enforce unconstitutional laws. You may take legal arguments from your department or the courts under advisement, but ultimately it is your call and yours alone who you will arrest.
If you can't do that within the bounds of the system then you do it outside of them.
If you can't do it outside of them, the you resign.
Anything else make you a fair target.
I'll tell you this, if it were me, if those cops think they are getting me into the backseat they have another thing coming
