These can be more important than you think, the Republican candidates for Sheriff in many of these upstate counties are anti-SAFE act, they deserve our votes and support.

All politics is local, and these "off-year" elections are especially local. Vote for your Town Board candidates, your Clerk, your sheriff, heck even your coroner, carefully. They will have more impact on your day-to-day life than most national figures.

I voted for everyone except the judges. I skipped that part because there is only one to choose from and they are listed in all political parties. That's BS. I should have a choice. Freaking Lynn Wessel Kayne a republican ha.
When someone is running unopposed I always write in my wife's name as a vote against them.

Living in Erie county I certainly voted for sheriff Howard and for clerk voted for cichon. He has said he wants to expedite the pistol permit process.
Then pretty much voted the conservative line. I would rather have my vote count for the conservative party not the Republican party endorsement. Just my .02 cents

Sheriff Howard is about as good as We can hope for in NY so i feel it's my responsibility to make sure I vote for him.

I wrote in my last name on a bunch of the areas. All the Judges spots, as well as a couple of others.
I voted no for the convention, yes to strip away pensions of convicted politicians and no on giving up acres of land. Not sure what that was about, didn't like the sound of it, so I voted no.

The chatterers on CNN are giddy because of the polls. They are equating the Virginia race to Trump. If the D wins it is the anti Trump vote.
Now if the R wins it really doesn't mean anything. The last time I saw them this giddy was exactly one year ago. Until the polls started closing.

It's because the dems and republicans get together and agree on who they put forth. So basically they make a deal to get in who they want to be elected.

I voted no for it. I felt they may do more than was written in construction wise and they said they would take 250 acres and repleace it with more land. Where's that land coming from emanate domain so stealing some one else's property.

Howard and Tolbert are basically tied, I was expecting a much sharper win by Tim. I had figured 64% for Howard. Looks like I might end up being wrong!

If it's mostly city reporting in so far Howard should be ok.
I just checked a Hamburg race and I think it said 8% reported in. So not much yet.
Here's to hoping Howard has a lot more voted still to come in
