If some airline wanted to make their passengers happy by telling the TSA they were allowed to bring their own drinks for instance, they couldn't do it.

We are tit for tatting here but you do have the choice as a passenger by flying private.

As an owner of a public airline, you don't however and are correct.

Regardless, this should be no different than going through security going into a nightclub or baseball game. If they find something on you that they don't want on their property, they tell you to leave without repercussions or come back when you no longer have that item.

It's fucked up that they arrest you on the spot when you haven't even boarded the plane. At the very most they should only arrest you for trespassing if you refuse to leave.
