just lol... You were a choir boy too I'm guessing and regularly help old ladies cross the street!Dang, all you miscreants!!!
Ive been driving for 30 years and have been pulled over once when I was 18 years old.
Shape up out there
Anyways...
Not complying with V&T laws "is" a crime. A Violation is a crime, but one of lessor impact that simply requires a summons to appear in court as issued. An appearance ticket if you will... Some can be as high as a felony though.
And honestly, I don't get the posts whereas people think its OK to check anything "ABSENT" suspicion of a "CRIME"... Being a "Licensed to Carry a Firearm" is not in itself a "CRIME", nor is it justification for a LE officer to take your property and relieve you of possession of it "Just Because"... He/she feels unsafe or not. They feel that unsafe encountering a licensed law abiding citizen who's exercising their Right to Carry, then they should probably seek another profession! You may think my post is harsh, but it is what it is...
Would I comply with such a demand, of course, but the follow up wouldn't be kind, I would certainly contact the agency or department an make an inquiry as to the training/policy of said action. Why not? Because I've got nothing else better to do! What would I, could I do with the information if provided? Probably nothing, but it's good to let them know then that there is some scrutiny to their actions.
And quite frankly, in all my years, I've only once been asked, while stopped in NYC if their were any weapons in the vehicle, and my answer was an unequivocal "NO", even though there was... Untruthful? Yes... But it achieved it's desired result as there was then no justification for a search to see what type of weapons or their legality by my own admission. If I had been searched and found... So what!
Think the Safe Act will change that? Not a chance... And the NYPD earmarks over a half billion per year for settling lawsuits, so if stopped and asked if I have my firearm on me while in NYC, you can bet your buttons I'll be exploring all legal avenues available to me to remedy the mental anguish of such an experience!
LMAO... I think too many people worry over the silliest things. Yeah, it makes for great conversation, but I don't worry about a thing until it's right in front of me. Just doesn't make sense to play a hundred scenarios iny our head about the big bad wolf that never comes to visit! Lol
