Ha!, I looked at that pic for about 20 minutes when I got and was like wtf is that before I figured it out.
I rode by on a dirt bike about an hour later
I still want to trap a fisher
Not a trail cam but a friend of mine took this picture today in Town of Newburgh
@1075tech Does your friend want a friend to shoot those for him?
That's what I'm here for.
Unfortunately, these are in someone's yard in a developed area. They'll likely die of old age, predators or cars before they end up in a freezer.
Hone those ninja skills!
@Robin Is that an electric fence around the corn? Most of my corn keeps getting eaten off at about a foot tall.
No, I did not fence in the corn, I should have but this was kind of an experimental year. There is a patch of soy beans inside the corn patch about 12' X 30' or so, I put 24" chicken wire around that and two rows of monofilament fishing line above it. They won't breach the fishing line, but I spaced it too high above the chicken wire. It took them about two weeks but they figured it out, above one and below the other. Living and learning.
Is that one in the back *inside* the fence or does it just look like that and it's not an enclosure?
BD, It could be inside, tracks indicating they, or she, is entering and exiting the soy beans at a spot almost directly behind the buck. Not sure but I think she is the only one to figure it out.
Mom making sure the camera is in focus, HAH!
Lot of these young guys this year.
Then there are the old, past their prime bucks, probably too tough, not worth an arrow.
Arghhh … Matey !
That is one TRAIL CAM !!!!!!!!
I am too worked up to read every page now.
PLEASE: Trail Cam Model and Source.
Nice deer/Deere, @Robin.
I'll try to remember to check the exact model next time I go out to swap memory cards.
Man at the BarberShop tells me his TrailCam uploads pics to the Web through some sort of Cell Phone link.
He lives in Mass and can see the deer that pass his Stand in Maine.
Those are awesome, but you have to put another line on your cell phone plan, and it uses your data (although probably not too much). I would love one, but it's not worth the money to me. It makes perfect sense for him though. I would definitely do it if I had land I didn't visit frequently.
Yeah, another $40 / month expense ain't something I need.
kinda amazed at the number of chicks, been a ton of coyote activity. hear them most every night seen them behind the house, pics day and night
