That’s the thing though. Their names change as often as the wind change direction. I have three students this year whose names have changed three times each. But only in school. But not in front of anyone. And definitely not in parent correspondence. So I just ignore them altogether. If they have a question or answer I just point at them and say go ahead.

Went through all this back when Aids came out. Per N.Y. state, A teacher k-12 can discuss anything to anyone if the teacher feels good about discussing it. It being all the ways to contract Aids, so IV drugs, anal sex, etc..
My school went into super secret voting and passed the indoctrination. ~1986 when all news was 24/7 aids awareness.

Oh it totally is. If it’s not that, they’re utterly confused.

The straight up gay kids don’t make a show of anything and just do their thing. They’re not trying to draw attention to themselves cuz they know who they’re comfortable with who they are. I’m sure some of the “trans” or non binary kids may legitimately feel how they are but by and large it’s look at me look at me I’m so interesting. I’m a plural pronoun when I’m only one person. Gimme a break
