That’s the thing though. Their names change as often as the wind change direction. I have three students this year whose names have changed three times each. But only in school. But not in front of anyone. And definitely not in parent correspondence. So I just ignore them altogether. If they have a question or answer I just point at them and say go ahead.I will never comply. It’s been encouraged for me to have my pronouns in my work email and zoom meeting name and it’s blank. If forced for my job I will put my first name there and say just call me by my name to stop any confusion.
My wife works with this super hot girl who wants to be called they and it trips her up. She’s nice about it, but one guy is going to get fired because he doesn’t do his job and just causes trouble like this instead of his work.
My wife also knows a family who has a daughter show changes from she to he to they. I said how the hell are you supposed to keep it straight and appease that? I said just use her name and be done with it.
