There was a law passed in the 1910s that allowed the president to set tariffs independent of Congress. I agree executive overreach is a problem, but in the scope of tariffs it's been this way for over 100 years. We just never had a recent president so retarded about it.

Sounds like some are ok getting the shitty end of the deal. Who here would ok a deal that I get 100% and you get -25%?

Or the U.S.A. can go to war, cutting down the population, of course our NATO countries will run in to help, right after we give them the weapons. There is only a few ways to fix ~100 yrs. of government screw ups and it will hurt. We can kick the can down the road again and let the chi-nas worry about it when they take over. Perhaps islame will take control and no-one will need anything because you will be dead or a slave.
Take the punch like men and get this country back on track, only ~70 days in with the demonturds/rhinoturds doing every thing to keep the spice flowing.

Assuming we were getting a bad deal, there are better ways to go about this. If I want something at work, I don't walk into the meeting with a ball-peen hammer and start swinging or something at the manager. You negotiate. You have to exercise some degree of tact.
I'm not seeing tact here. And if this doesn't shake out in our favor, the favor of US citizens, this is going to be a HUGE loss for the GOP in the midterms if this pain persists that long.

Assuming? Do you live in the USA?? Why are you backing countries that charge us 250% tariffs over your own country??? I'm fine with the sledgehammer approach. This is what Trump does and he is good at it. He is now president for a second time against all fucking odds.
