With the low numbers of registered MSRs, it would be easy for the NYSP to send out letters saying you need to turn them in or officers will show up to get them if not done by a certain time frame. They can obviously only go after those that are registered, but it's the point of FUAC grandstanding for the rest of the country. He will be held up as a hero to the leftists even though there are few registered.

If he did that, it could actually be a good thing for us.

The "they aren't coming for your guns" argument would have an excellent counter example (not that NYC doesn't already provide one, but state level is a much bigger deal).

Also, the "why not register them" argument would be shot to hell too.

It would screw the handful of people who played ball, but it might wake up a whole lot more.

Note, I'm not saying I want this to happen, just pointing out of monkey face does go this route it could blow up in his face.

I don't think we'd have any benefit from this. Those who make the above comments wouldn't give a shit, they wouldn't be coming for their shotguns and bolt guns. The few that have and registered their MSRs will default to " we don't need these to hunt with".
It sure may wake many up, but not enough to do us a damn thing in NY.
Sometimes I'd like to see FUAC get so emboldened so the point would be driven home to those on the fence. I know there's a few here on NYGF that registered, If that time comes... you all knew this could happen.
