Very interesting. They lost 3% of the letters. the guy says 3% could be pivotal in the election, which while true is not relevant to the 3% lost, as that 3% lost would surely fall across the same distribution of votes in general. So losing 3% would be unlikely to actually alter the results. That's not a great success rate, though. I really thought USPS did a better job than 97%.

If they were lost accidentally you would expect them to be evenly distributed.Very interesting. I have no political party myself.I think most people are actually pretty libertarian.
They have just been brainwashed by the Republicrats into thinking they aren't.
The big "L" Libertarian party is a bit nuts.I have no political party myself.
I have a little of each.
I would say mostly Libertarian but they lose me on alot of issues......the same issues that most have with them and the reason they arent more popular. Most of mt issues with the Libertarians comes from them wanting open borders and their views on foreign issues and dealing with hostile nations.
As far as I know there has never been a country to use American libertarianism ideas.....doesnt say much for their ideas. Heck, even Communism and Socialism have been used.
As for me I vote for who comes closest to what I want. There is never a perfect choice, usually not even close, but I vote anyways.
Id say I vote along conservative lines even though I have some real issues with conservatives being hypocritical and just plain unamerican about some things.....mostly social.
I could care less about who you marry. But staunch conservatives want to make rules about who you marry. Just state your opinion and dont marry someone of the same gender. Bur no, conservatives want to make gay marrige illegal....just goofy.
And then there is abortion and transsexuals and on and on and on.....conservatives want to make the social rules. How does that square with all men are equal and the very ideals our country was founded on?
Anyways, maybe ill create my own political party.
Do what you want as long as it doesnt interfere with my rights. Marry who you want, just dont force churches to go against their rights. Abort your baby, just dont force me to....after all, it is murder at a certain point.
Strong borders with legal entry.
Welfare when needed and STRONGLY controlled and punished when misused.
Most of all, leave everyone alone as long as they arent violating your rights.
And cut 90% of the government.
ALL GAS has that sign on their showroom door. I feel safe inside.
Speaking only for me, I am no where near the center. Someday, maybe I will really open up my true thoughts on life.
As for these labels, I am not sure if anyone really knows what these terms and words mean any longer.
I am a registered Republican, because I have always registered that way.
Heres the problem with Libertarians. The big "L" Libertarian party is a bit nuts.
It's small "l" libertarian philosophy I am talking about.
I don't think strong borders or a strong military are incompatible with libertarian philosophy.
libertarian philosophy is big on personal property. Locking your doors and defending what's yours is the quintessential libertarian activity. Strong borders and a strong military are a logical extension of that.
The open borders crowd have just abandoned that core principle.
In many ways libertarianism *is* the philosophy that largely guided the creation of the US, so i don't think it's fair to say it's never been tried. I think most of the successful nations in history needed core libertarian values to thrive. Most eventually abandoned them and then began their decline.
With great freedom comes enormous responsibility. We will never be ready for, or even able to handle that individually, and remain a civil society. I am sort of a Libertarian Constitutional Conservative. Whatever that means.
I agree with most of what you say here, and I think you and I could easily enjoy sending some rounds down range or down the gullet. I have long been a conservatarian, just didn't know there was a shorter name for it.I think you and I diverge on a couple issues but for my part, the word I use is "conservatarian." Not eloquent maybe.
It would require a complete reworking of the constitution to change the 2 party system.People have been sold on the 2 party system for too long. Time for a Moderate party who respects the fucking constitution.
Though....many of those BLM signs are put up as wishful talismans against potential marauding mobs of peaceful protesters. No exaggeration: of the last fifty lawn signs I’ve seen 1-2 are for Biden, 1-2 are for trump and 46+ are BLM.
NY has zero chance of voting for trump.
I think that is part of it.Though....many of those BLM signs are put up as wishful talismans against potential marauding mobs of peaceful protesters.
California though???? Trump absolutely has a good chance of taking that state,.
You're newer here, aren't you???
That is where I think conservatives should be. The far-normal wing of both parties.
