Not an Instagram subscriber, so could not view that. As much as I would love to see national reciprocity happen,- or for national constitutional carry even more, I just do not see it happening via legislation as there are too many RINO’s in the way as I detailed in another column on here.

And too many logistical obstacles as well. Like: NJ trying to imprison you for carrying hollow points. Or NYC is going to allow out of staters to carry, while those with upstate NYS CCW permits could still not carry there? Or the various anti 2A states with magazine capacity restrictions allowing me to carry my EDC from another state with my 15 round legal magazine? Or my carrying my EDC in CA if it is NOT on their asinine restricted approved handgun model list?

No, - I’m thinking the only way this gets resolved is if SCOTUS somehow ultimately throws ALL of that shit out. And I am not at all confident of that happening in my lifetime if at all.

I also find getting a felony for just carrying a handgun in NYS should not be allowed to happen that's not on a permit. It's an administrative/paperwork problem NOT a felony worth problem.

Yet when you go to Texas (as an example), you can go to the LGS and buy one and carry it and not get a felony.

It's the same with free speech. I don't need a permit/paperwork to use free speech across state lines.

I'm not saying go rob a liquor store at gun point, and get off scoff free. Same with yelling "bomb" in a crowded movie theater. What I'm referring to has nothing to do with committing crimes.

I'm hoping Trump and his people can do something about NY and these other states.

Model this National carry very similar to LEOSA. With LEOSA, Creds from the department is all that is needed to travel to every State and Territory with a gun.

This may become difficult if you reside in a State with no plastic permit card in your wallet.

This could cause a bit of a snafu.

Each State would be required to alter their criminal procedure laws and their Penal codes. The money spent would be astronomical.

That is why moving in this direction is a step back. 27 states are Constitutional Carry. That be over half, the BoRs says shall not be infringed.

We need to move National Wide Constitutional Carry. Anything else is unacceptable

Exactly. Don't matter if you have reciprocity if you can't own a gun because your state outlaws it via unconstitutional reasoning.

You want to really make the left shit their pants? Make a fast track program that quickly gets cases up before SCOTUS if the case is regarding 2A infringements illegally done in blue states.

The safeAct will have so many challenges before SCOTUS they'll have to rule on it decisively and kill it.

With all the restrictions in blue states, it’d be nearly impossible. Unless they make it like vehicles, if the vehicle is legal in your home state then it’s legal wherever you drive it. Like one license plate in PA vs two in NY.

Meaning, if I have a Montana permit and carry a 15 round mag in my G19…NY would have to honor that. That’s not happening.

The handgun roster in California is only for new handguns never before sold in the state. You can absolutely carry a Glock 19 Gen 5 there. You just can’t go to a gun store and buy a new one. Perfectly legal to move to CA and bring off roster handguns and sell them to other CA residents once in state.

It would be more effective for the next AG of the U.S. to bring civil rights charges against all state governors that have passed laws or haven't rectified the existing infringements on the 2nd amendment in the bill of rights. Give them 30 days to fix it before charges are filed against the governors and arrest made.

Ask people from Kentucky if they care about the gun laws of NY or Cali... Not on their radar.

If there were 20 Top Ten issues facing the nation, I do not think, Nationally, this is in that top ten. I could be wrong. I do not see many talking about this at all.

Most constitutional carry states offer permits as well for existing reciprocity.

AZ is constitutional carry, but I also have an AZ permit.

The permit expands where I can carry (to include places that serve alcohol for instance), and offers reciprocity with half the country.

Then the issue is not being defined correctly. It's not a matter of what's NYs laws. It's do you want to be able to defend your family in any of the 50 states without needing a permit. Because having to waiting 1 second to utilize a right is 1 second to long.

From what I gather, listening to others and reading the ideas of many, people in the Free States, they do not have this concern, so it is not an important issue for them.

Here, and Florida, where you are..... An intruder breaks in to our homes, we exercise our 2A without hesitation. What NY'ers or those in California can or cannot do is not a care of people outside those areas.

This is why this is not as much of a National issue than it is.

I understand what you mean. What I mean is if joe blow from Montana has to travel to NYC because his wife booked a get away, he shouldn't be stopped from defending his wife because he doesn't have a permit, when he doesn't need one in Montana.

I can count on one hand the number of states where a permit is required to possess a handgun.
