The fall didnt knock any dials around right? You should have taken a few shots at that altered zero. If you were 12 in high theres a chance something may be bent if you didnt have anything move around. Id check and double check your base rings and scope for any sort of deformations or movement.well, it survived. first shots were about 12" high and slightly left. I was able to zero it back again i think close to what it was before with about 10 rounds of the previous ammo. I was pretty apprehensive so i didn't shoot very well so the groups are a little larger than i would expect. Time will tell i guess to see if there are any issues holding zero. but everything seems to work as expected. all the turrets work, the zoom, focus, etc.
Ill be shooting it alot more over the next month so i will get a pretty good idea about it soon.
I would send it back. If you are still set on not doing that do a tracking test with it and see if it is able to track properly.
zero shot, adjust for one shot 3" left, adjust for one shot 3 inches up, adjust for one shot 6 inches right, adjust for one shot 6 inches down (should look like a box) then adjust back 3 inches left and 3 inches up if it returns to the same place (zero) then there should be no problems with the scope.
So it looks like a vortex scope can survive a fairly serious drop/impact. I think everything is working great!
