One of my customers is a Delta Pilot, he got the jab, he said it was no big deal. But he is still flying
United fires almost 600 workers for not getting the jab.

Private businesses can make any rules they like as a job requirement. Their business their rules. Don't like it? Tough. Go start vax-free airlines or whatever. If there is a demand for it your business will thrive. If not it won't. The fact none of the airlines are doing it gives me a hint though
You are correct, and they can have troubles and failures due to their policies.
Like what we are seeing in the airports right now; complete failure.
May be short lived, but I am enjoying watching all of the pissed off customers and cancelled flights.

Not a fan of this. If a private business wants to on their own set employment requirements including vaccines, that's fine. However it's not OK for the govt. to tell a private business what requirements they have to implement for their employees.

I checked the official list of executive orders and in fact I did not see biden's about the 100 employee thing. There is one for military. I thought his 100+ was going through OSHA but doesn't look like it's been codified (?).

If they put it in writing then it will be in court in hours.
But when it's perpetually vaporware, he can get companies to adopt the policies he wants, and there's nothing to sue over.
Imagine if Trump had announced a 100% tariff on China.
He wouldn't be able to get it passed, but the announcement alone would cause companies to start looking for alternative suppliers and would have the effect of reducing that trade, even if no tariff ever materialized.

I think I saw it reported that all the major US airlines, including Southwest, are federal contractors. If so, the EO that Bob posted is probably why they are implementing the mandate.
Interesting that these airlines feel that the .gov contracts are more lucrative than shifting to entirely private operations. Those fat contracts could be the only thing keeping them competitive.

I was talking to a guy yesterday who flew for Delta, they gave him a three year early retirement buyout. I asked his opinion on Southwest and he went off on a tirade, which boiled down to its' employee driven, and the bullshit they are feeding the public is just that.
He definitely is against the jab, but I didn't directly ask if that was a factor in his bailout, he was pretty clear as it was.

I flagged 4 health originations ad's on FB today .. they were saying the jab is safe and effective .. reported them for fake news ..
