Isnt a vaccine or anything a voluntary thing?. My opinion is that the vaccine is ok but also find it abusive that if someone does not want the vaccine they have a right to decide. This is not like the no vax polio loons or worse anyway and people know it.

I work in the Defense & Aerospace Industry. Yesterday one of our Directors announced that on Dec. 8th, the Federal Gov't would be releasing the mandate for vaccines that will force not only all employees of the Defense Company be vaccinated or get terminated, but also all employees of any subcontractors to get the jab or a) the employee will be terminated, or b) the subcontractor will be suspended from any Gov't Contract work.

No they aren't. Jobs have requirements. For example... a college degree. They aren't responsible for paying for your degree by having it as a employment requirement. If you don't like your employers job requirements you can go to a company that has requirements to your liking. You're also free to start your own company and set any requirements you like.

If your job requires you to work in an asbestos filled facility, and you get mesothelioma, then you absolutely can sue your employer.

They aren't making you do it. It's not like they are holding you down and sticking a needle in your arm. You can quit and go elsewhere if you don't like it. Start your own business, you can set the requirements - no vaccine, no problem. Heck, you could even make a rule, no vaccinated employees. Your business, your rules.
You can sue your employer, but unless you proved their negligence such as not providing proper PPE or proper training for the hazmat, you'd lose. Just getting mesothelioma alone isn't enough to hold a party guilty, you'd need to prove that they caused it.

I would also like to add that if they are trying to 'protect their employees' by requiring the vaccine, they're targeting the wrong group. Most people who die from covid are well beyond working age.
There is a global pandemic. There is vaccine for the virus causing that pandemic. This vaccine is FDA approved. Setting an employment requirement that requires you to be vaccinated against an active pandemic isn't "cherry picking". It's a specific requirement against a pandemic threat, sort of like requiring your CDLs to not drive the trucks while drunk - it's specific, but not cherry picking.
My position on this comes from how I view private property and the rights of a private entity. Personally, I don't care if you are or aren't vaccinated - that choice should be yours. However, I also think the rights of a private business are that they should be able to set any requirement they wish. I'm against any vaccine mandates or requirements for publicly funded employees, however the rights of a private business to set requirements should be observed, regardless of my agreement or disagreement of their requirements. Private entity rights > my (or your) position on any particular topic.
