Where is the conspicuous protrusion beneath the action?

It's readily observable in the area of the picture you've cropped.

Even if you draw a straight line from the lowest point (bottom of trigger guard in that example), the grip has a portion below it. To say otherwise is, well, I don't know because it's pretty damned obvious.

Yep. I sure did. It's behind it. The portion of that grip was intentionally designed to protrude down at the point where the action ends. Hence not beneath the action and not even a pistol grip as per the shape it has.

Normal pistol grip = down or below. Stock = behind or to the rear of the action. This grip has no part protruding under the receiver.

It's attached beneath the action. The front part of the grip is flush with the action and does not protrude below. Once the grip passes the receiver going towards the rear it no longer is below the action and protrudes down.

Look at the damned picture.

Yes. As long as the part that protudes down is not beneath the action.

Look at this picture and assume that the stock is cut off and the grip is left behind. Now grab it. The barrel is to the front and the grip is to the rear of the action. Even though tbe bottom portion of that grip protrudes down, the part that protrudes down is behind the receiver. Now glue the stock back on and shoulder it. Is the buttplate behind the action?

I give up. Front is the end of the barrel, rear is towards the stock, and below is down. Anything that protrudes down is either directly below the receiver, to the front of the receiver or to the rear of the receiver.

Does the video explain why the grip is so wide at the rear/bottom? Why not keep the normal rectangle shape (and bend it up and rearward) instead of this fat triangle? Looks like a very tight fit between grip and buffer tube, no?
