Tonight I looked at the election results by county. North of Westchester County monkeyface only won six counties, Erie, Monroe, Onondaga, Tompkins, Albany, and Ulster. With the exception of Tompkins (at 65%) he only won about 51% of the votes in these other counties. Every other county went heavily in favor of Molinaro. It is clear that the state is completely divided politically and Upstate is completely at the mercy of NYC progressives and NOT represented in our governance. Without the far downstate counties and the city monkeyface would not have even been close to winning. The time has come for separation of Upstate and Downstate into two separate entities. We the people of Upstate New York are now the unheard masses, good only to be milked and fleeced of our hard earned money to fund failed policies and support the "free stuff" masses. Not only are we forced to financially support corruption our money is used AGAINST us to further infringe upon our rights and freedoms. This is not the country our founders envisioned for us. When you look at the election map results it becomes all to clear that much of the state feels the same as I do. The need for divorce from Downstate is the only solution to save ourselves otherwise the whole state will collapse under the corrupt system now in place. I want to get the movement UPEXIT started, maybe there are enough people enlightened by this farce to join. I have the means to go elsewhere but like my home and friends that I spent the last 25+ years building, also I have never been one to run and hide from adversity, abandoning others to carry on the struggle alone. FUAC #notmygovernor.

I started a petition to have 2 separate governors, one for NYC and one for the rest of the state. Is it fair that the rest of the state has to be governed like NYC, absolutely not. Did that asshole campaign anywhere else other than NYC?

7. 7 people signed the petition. But don’t worry, he’ll have no problem using the rest of our tax dollars to sue the federal government for the lack luster response in PR after the hurricane.

This is the definition of Tyranny, the metropolitan oppression our founders were worried about.
And the best part is, if you look at certain laws like the SAFE act it’s barely enforced upstate. We don’t even, from a functional perspective, follow his laws. Why remain officially tied to NYC’s governor?

It hasn't picked up steam as far as I can tell. Yeah, I would love nothing more than to have an #UpExit but I don't see it happening. There are enough no-nothings in the upstate counties that are fine with the situation as it is. Furthermore, as we've seen in every election since unSAFE that gun owners (who should be voting Republican/Conservative) can't even be bothered to go vote. What makes anyone think it'll be different this time.

I'm very down today. Only one of my candidates (my State Assemblyman) won. I would love to have an autonomous region. And who knows, maybe the time now is beginning to get ripe. I can see NY and CA start these secessionist movements into smaller autonomous regions.

The courts get heavily involved with a detailed criteria to curb excessive gerrymandering and it is important that Trump keeps filling Federal Judge posts to mitigate continuing abuses in NY. After a few different census periods, I talked to the officials implementing post census redistricting and all confirmed the level of Judicial oversight and instructions as the reason why I keep getting bounced between districts.

It's not just NY. TX has a similar problem developing. All the major cities and the border with Mexico are solid blue. I never thought I'd see it in my lifetime, but Texas is turning purple.

Sadly it's happening in a lot of once solid red states.
