Ah okay. I have a similar knife that has nearly identical grips on it but they're the glass filled nylon stuff. not a fan. but i've actually never handled g-10. alot of mine are aluminum handles.

G10 is the shit! Only material I like better for a handle is Micarta.

I may have mentioned it in @MilesTeg 's post, but one of my favorite knives i've owned was a karambit with aluminum grips, and i can' find it. it's honestly like losing a child to me.

My problem with aluminum grips is they get shredded riding next to my knurled aluminum edc light.

my coating was definitely worn around the edges but never any gougin or damage even riding in the same pocket as my keys. I thought it added a nice worn look to it actually. only benefit of me losing it is i never have to deal with sharpening that blade. never needed it before it went MIA, even after going .5 in into the tip of my thumb.

She's chewed up a little but its still my favorite knife.
