And If Iran isnt totally wiped off the map , next time they will have nukes and next time they will strike first or some other mid east country.

The big picture that you ignore is the life and death of the petro dollar, lack of western central banks in Iran , mideast, control of the Oil markets, how that effects china and her silk road. its more of a war of global domination than it is a war on terrorism

Except neither of the ships we claim are clearing the Strait of mines are our up close and personal Avenger Class minesweepers or one of our two dozen Littoral Independence Class /Austal or Freedom Class / Lockhead modulars rigged for more remote minesweeping (and replacing the Avenger class fiberglass and wood ships). Missle Destroyers ain't real mineseeepers.

Looks like this is more PR from a west wing desk than an effort to clear mines (if there even are new mines deployed). At least it shows that two US warships passed through unscathed.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post, but I don't see the claim in that tweet that those two ships are the ones clearing mines, the tweet says. "Transited the Straight of Hormuz and operated in the Arabian Gulf as part of a broader mission to ensure the straight is fully clear of sea mines."
