It is a simple matter to find out to what level of knowledge in the discovery process one is before we give any aliases or hypotesis to the unknown.
But the fear to the unknown will continue to be there and we will continue to see comfort in finding a name for a potential explanation of many things no human can explain.
That is not going to end and it is understandable and possibly more practical to wrap it under the idea of a single "God" or elevation of hope but in the end there will be as many versions of that God as humans in the planet no matter what religion.
It is understandable. It is also understandable why humans with our limited knowledge and evolution find refuge there.
